Casey are on a roll ATM with 6 on the trot and I think that will continue against Essendon on Saturday.

My prediction is a 5 goal victory to the Dees. The game is televised.

Kent will be back for this game.

Senior emergency should be J.Smith.

My Preferred Team

B: Keilty, Pedersen, Johnstone
HB: J.Wagner, Petty, Lockhart
C : Hannan, Spargo, Baker
HF: Balic, Hutchins, Kent
F: Garlett, T.Smith, Filipovic
FOLL: King, Bugg, Kennedy Harris
IC: C.Wagner, Lok, Machaya, Munro, Stockdale

Given that T Mac will probably be a late test/decision I would not be surprised if there is more than one emergency held out of this game.

Yeah add Tim.Smith to the emergencies and bring Scott in.

Kent back, excellent.   Will be back in the seniors soon as long as his body holds up.    Looked a new man earlier in the season when he came in..  6 goals in 2  games, one of them a great game in the drought breaker vs the Kangas. Started on fire vs the Hawks with 3 goals in the 1st...  then the ball never went inside 50 again.    Unfortunately injured early in the third game.

Garlett has done nothing to earn a recall and Kent is a more traditional small forward than Spargo whos a developing mid being used forward..

Kent is that the same guy who spends half of every season injured and the other playing one quarter a game?

He will be gone at the end of this season.

It’s a big game for the Casey Demons this week.

Petty gets a game ahead of Frost who is really out of favour.

Filipovic, Keilty and Scott come back into the side as does Kent.

With Tim.Smith not even in the emergencies I think it's safe to say Tommy.Mac will play.

... can't we keep the team lists to just plain surnames, Werridee ???

Its too busy, and too hard to see at a glance who is in there.

can't see the tree, for the forest.

CWagn   JWagn ?

I just like to say, are these team sheets put out for the players???

or is it meant to help the footy tragics?   If so lets just abbreviate the names... in the interests of the footy public.

...bending over so far, just to please the players association, has turned many a footy punter right off.

Just one more tiny nail, in the footy coffin lid.

One that needs to be re-opened, and aired out.

Is anyone going to the game? is this a new venue?  I thought they would play at Windy Hill

Hope the telecast quality is better than the choice of venue

I went to our JLT game in Craigieburn a couple of years ago against the Dogs. I’m assuming it’s the same ground. It wasn’t too bad for viewing.

thanks KC.  that's a bit easier to distinguish.

Have just finished a night shift and I’m going to bed so I’ll miss the live action of the game but hopefully it’s a good one for the boys, keen to see how Bernie will play as well as Keilty coming back from illness.

Hi

If anyone has info on how to either watch or listen online from interstate it would be appreciated

Round 12 kicks off with the Brisbane hosting Essendon at the Gabba as the Lions aim to solidify their top-two position against an injury-hit Bombers side seeking to maintain momentum after a win over Richmond. On Friday night it's a blockbuster at the G as the Magpies look to extend their top of the table winning streak while the Hawks strive to bounce back from a couple of recent defeats and stay in contention for the Top 4. On Saturday the Suns, buoyed by 3 wins on the trot, face the Dockers in a clash crucial for both teams' aspirations this season. • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
