Based on the ins and no Weid you would think its Ped for T Smith and we will I would back J Smith for Lever.

Same thoughts. Max will need a decent chop out in the ruck so I cant see a extra small coming in.

Usually the club lists that and did for Lever but not Smith.

Check the MFC article and it notes it, maybe not enough space for neck and ankle so they left it blank :)

is Petty up for it? hows he been going at Casey? or is it an encouragement award of being named on the bench. Usually if named to debut you debut... but who knows

It would appear to be Pedersen and Smith coming in.

You’ll get over it, Pro.

Didnt Pedders get knocked out at the end of the VFL game?

Thats a fair recovery if so.

Lots of players play the week after if it’s a isolated incident

Nothing wrong with rewarding form.

I'm sure he'll acquit himself well.  I think he's probably a better option than Tim Smith.

Do we know what on?  Was it after the game or a training mishap?

If Pedo is alright he comes in for Bull, and from what I hear probably J.Smith or Hunt comes in for lever

Suprised they listed Petty over both Frost and Keilty, but if they feel he’s up for it would be a helluva game for him to debut

Just read on Collingwood BF, the game on Queens Birthday is all about celebrating one of Melbourne's former great players.

I can't go on reading Collingwood BF anymore. These fools are tragically uninformed.

Give them *some* credit.

  • they realise that Melbourne has former great players

  • they remember that there is a club called Melbourne (albeit they're not quite sure which one)

  • they know to go to the MCG on Monday. (Although there's always the chance that they go to G every day, having learned like lab rats that sometimes CFC is playing there.)

Like they say ... don't argue with fools. They'll drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

Just watched daniher on AFL360 just breaks your heart listening to him, he said it’s probably his last year doing this fundraising if he is still with us he might not be able to talk by then, just a hideous disease I hope the boys come out breathing fire for him

MND gig should be at an MFC/EFC match. He was a truly great player, better than Terry, cruelly cut short. One of those players so good that you admire them even though they play for the enemy, ie another club.

The risk is that they actually try too hard, which can be as bad as not trying hard enough.

I can live with that. It's so much better than the opposite.

Huge chance for Pedders to come in and cement his spot as that 3rd tall forward/relief ruck.

Hes been in red hot form in the VFL.  Hope he plays out of his skin the rest of the season and is part of our finals campaign.

With teams having to put so much time and resources into stopping Hogan and T Mac, the Peddertron may get off the chain.

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
