If Murphy seriously wants to come to MFC he would be very high on my list. The only concern would be injuries, but if I could name a couple of players that would improve our side significantly it would be Josh Kelly or Marc Murphy. We are embarrassingly bad by foot. It is the type of embarrassingly bad by foot that I saw when I used to play under 11's football.

didn't Murphy commit to the blues?

Let's hope we have Gaff in the bag and not Hannebery  He's the type of player that will ruin the club.

ooh, disagree Werri.

Why do you say that?   I'd prefer Hannebury,,, unless you know something I don't?

Inside, slow and injury prone. Hannebery is someone we don't need we need outside run and carry like Gaff not Hannebery he is cooked.

Murphy did commit 2 years to Carlton wouldn't want him anyway another player that is cooked.

We cannot afford every uncooked star. We need some maturity that is cooked, that's still resting. prior to dinner.

This sort of mature talent helps guide us and maintains some cap space for the the near future for those who become available.

We DO NOT want to lockup all our finances on one or two players,,, who may, or may-not be worthy.

Would you think Hannebury better than Tyson?

Surprised we haven't had a "Hunting for Hanneberries" thread created yet

I don't want to be the one to start it though as it's not my rumour...

It’s a terrible rumour, Hannebery is cooked.

We need to accumulate players of Gaff's quality

I think the accumulated consensus of DL is that the MfC needs to accumulate accumulators of Gaffs caliber

Geez I hate the expression ‘cooked’ when it’s applied to footballers.

There’s something not quite right about it.

Whilst I’d like to see Gaff in the red and the blue, I don’t see why doesn’t Goodwin throw Jayden Hunt on a wing if he’s not liking him in defence. He definitely has outside run. In spades.

Hunt’s disposal and Kicking can be average as we have all seen

It describes his situation perfectly. No need to fluff it.

We also need to accumulate reasons for him to come, accumulated enough salary cap, and accumulate our support.

I watch most Swans games up here. Hannebury is a shadow of his former self. I can only hope he's injured if he isn't then IMO the best way to describe him is "cooked". For some reason his running ability which was never fast but was elite endurance has vanished. He can't impact contests anymore. He's not playing in the guts and playing on the wing he's become non competitive. It is very sad to see.

In any event his best position is as an in and under extractor exactly what we don't need. Don't understand why his name is even being raised.

Gaff, on the other hand is exactly what we need.

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best.
