I'd like to announce that I'm the founding President of the Blaine Boekhorst to Melbourne Society.

Blaine will make the goals rain.

Agree. Saw him on 3 occasions and was impressed.  Definitely AFL Standard.

We need pace and a tall ruck/forward so may not fit.

So probably not going to be popular with this one, but back in his days of tac cup, I found Roarke Smith to be one of the solid performers in an unheralded position of back pocket.

Excellent composure, very neat skills and great reader of play and ball in flight.

A couple bad knee injuries have seen him delisted by the dogs, I'd love to see him in the permission to train list.

Why is Barry Prendergast posting on Demonland?

Obviously thinks Demonland has far much more going for it than what it really does.

Isn't it obvious?  Carlton supporters via their discussion board clearly know so much less than Demonland so he comes here for the best ideas.

Waste of time discussing them as it would be terrible list management to lose pick 45 or whatever it is now at the expense of a DFA, given it could have been used to draft order jump.  Would also in effect greatly diminish the value of the pick received for Jack Watts if his list spot is taken up by a free player rather than used on a third round draft pick.

if you have anyu faith in the football department being a cohesive, well planned instrument of the club, there will not be a free agent added!

Nice goal - but then I kicked one nice goal in the Ammos U19 s once too, way back when MFC  played finals every year.

Strange the way the dates are done for DFA's. Current period ends Wednesday and restarts Friday for a week. Why not just leave it open?

Easy to see why you are not part of the AFL administration Mr. Leg.

You make too much sense.

Yes that would disqualify me.

I think if MFC was going to recruit a delisted free agent it would have done it by now?

Don't think so. Our last pick in the draft is too good to not wait and see who's still there, but not good enough that we are certain to use it. Will be a case of watch this space on draft night.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
