Yeah look you're probably right Wise, A football team that works their backside off from Oct to now will probably hurt big time, more than us. Its just that there seems to be a lot of us wondering if it will cut deep enough or if its just a job at the end of the day. Listening to some of them talk seems like they are just reading off a script.

Yeah its been 11 years but some of these kids were in Primary School when we last made it, they likely barracked for other teams and I question whether they actually get how much this burden is weighing on the club. Against North they didn't even mention the streak, if that's their attitude to something like that then who's to say it isn't for this?

Billy Stretch would have been a Dees supporter as a kid but it doesn't mean he tries harder than anyone else. It doesn't really make a difference. Every player gives what their own personal work ethic allows. Adding stuff like 'its been 11 years since we made finals' to the mix doesn't actually help them play better. It creates more pressure which we know actually reduces performance. Ever tried to play table tennis or darts with nothing on the line? far easier to hit winning shots than when its for big money.

Yes poor discipline has been a factor in unsettling the side all year and that also includes the social media arrogance of some. What is most galling though is we were given the same bitter lesson by lower ranked clubs with their own issues 5 times and failed to learn each time. To that can be added the Brisbane game which in hindsight effectively became a loss due to missing the opportunity to bury them and gain percentage given the closeness of our rivals.

 of course not, but a club is never the same forever, once proud clubs become timid clubs,  we all feel your pain but it's not all bad and it's not all good, this year does not define the last 53 years and the last 53 years don't define this year or next year, don't forget Oliver petrarca and Brayshaw are all in their 3rd and 2nd season and they're already dominating at times they will improve with pre seasons.
