Footy club needs to get more ruthless & trust its supporters at the gate!

Stop selling home games to darwin...we ended up taking longer to get there on the plane than the crows yet our home game!

Dosent excuse whats happened today but as a club we need too have every home advantage & valuable 4 points  & until we learn to stand up on our own feet will never be successful...I know Hawks have won flags playing in TAS but thats less than an hour and weather conditions on par.

The Soft Underbelly at The MFC is still very much alive and well.

It must be addressed over summer or we will continue to just waste our time.

The list still needs massive work.

Max Gawn needs to get out of the Media and improve his game.

Nathan Jones needs to be replaced.

He doesn't stand up like a Captain should.

Sorry i have to say it. But it happens too often

He didn't have a shot on goal when he should have.

He bombed it in long without looking and thinking, as usual.

He handpassed to his colleagues into trouble as usual.

if we are good enough club then we will win in Darwin. As for home game advantage, did playing at the MCG in a collingwood home game hurt us today.  Our problem is the lack of effort from our players, they were playing to ensure themselves a spot in the finals and they could not even rouse them selves to turn up until the 2nd quarter. by then the damage was done. While we had our chances and missed a few easy shots so did the woods. the difference was the first quarter. if playing finals does not inspire them to play then what the hell will. Does not bode well if we do manage scrape through into the finals.

We had everything to play for and we [censored] it up.

A disgraceful and inept performance.

Again exposing soft underbelly!

We are far too inconsistent. And not one coach Bar Northey and to a lesser extent Daniher and Roos, has been able to fix it !

We need Dr. Who to coach !

Pathetic Soft Totally unacceptable. Don't belong in finals.

So disillusioned. How many times does this have to happen before the club acknowledges it has anattitudinal issue. Stuff the lot of them.

Petracca will only get better as its his second year...

Question is our more senior players & leadership throughout the game & week to ensure they were up for this game!

This is the main problem, no real leadership, Jones is the only hardcore leader when Viney isn't playing, TMac, Gawn, Bernie are not leaders and mentally soft, rest are young blokes

And Neale Balme was good too.

Basically, this.

I'm so beyond disillusioned right now. Regardless of how the debris falls tomorrow, we threw away this season. We lost to North Melbourne twice (a 6-win team who just obliterated Brisbane, a team who nearly overran us last week). We lost to Hawthorn and Fremantle by under a goal (two more teams not playing finals). In our most important game of the season, we didn't show up until QT.

I resigned myself to missing finals after the North Melbourne loss. I'd come to terms with it; we were the architects of our own demise. It's been so very Melbourne to defy such pragmatic pessimism by getting our hopes up all over again, only to crush them at the final hurdle.

I fully expect we will sit 9th by tomorrow evening. Do yourselves a favour and make peace with it; it'll make it far less painful when it happens.

First female coach in the game's history. Innovative!

That being said, if she was crap then all we need to do is mortally wound her and we get a coach who is the same person but different.

Win/Win I say.

Anyone know if bernie is contracted for next year? As I think it is probably getting time to give it away. he does some good things but he more often than not bleeds a few goals a game.

Honestly, there are definite liabilities in this team. How the [censored] do we constantly only play three quarters of footy. The midfield is definitely fragile and skill level shite. No tackles in first 10 mins you have be [censored] joking.

Uncontracted.

So so disappointing ! They came out for the start and looked like they couldn't give a toss even before the bounce !  And so it proved !

An insult to the fans who showed up ! So embarrassed amongst the Pie fans trooping out after a flogging !

They have really stunk it up for some weeks now . No point making the finals as they have completely no hope.

Hard to praise anybody to be honest. It looked like they were trying to throw it! And hope for a west coast loss to them get into 8 th spot and maybe have a home elimination against Tigers ! (Optimistic view) but , nah , they did a Melbourne on us !

Should we all gather somewhere tomorrow for the Adelaide game?

The site might crash tomorrow night, might be better having a discussion face to face.

Mentally soft, weak as [censored], they've got no intestinal fortitude, gutless wonders

Imagine how rich we could've been laying down $100 on both North games, the Hawks game, the Fremantle game, and today? All were predictable losses waiting to happen.

Frankly I'm shocked we beat Carlton twice, despite our best efforts not to.

As shocked as the Carlton [censored] bag on your profile, Saber?!

I think I'm pass the anger stage and onto depression now. This club deflates me so easily.

Fumbling skill is perfecto!

Inability to take contested marks is top level!

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.
