Wonder if this is what we're going to see all season ... pressure, pressure, pressure, lots of inside 50's, but not hitting the scoreboard, then they get easy goals down the other end. Feels like a repeat of a lot of the last few weeks.

16 inside 50s for 6 shots on goal.

Doesn't help when we miss shots from directly in front.

Tap-outs

Bellchambers 10 (4 to Melb adv, 3 to Ess adv,  3 neutral)

Pedersen 2 (2 to Melb adv)

McDonald 2 (both neutral)

Neutral 3 (no clear winner)

To sum up we've got 6 clean clearances versus their 3 clean clearances from the ruck duels.

First qtr was possibly the least attractive 30 mins of football ever played.

4 quarters of football please.

Is it just me but when Watts usually kicks into the forward 50, he usually hits a lead up forward?

Petracca’s getting off the chain in our forward line. Looking the most dangerous right now.

And given Bellchambers hasn't recorded a single stat other than the 10 hit outs, I think we'd have to be satisfied with the ruck situation so far (hard to say without watching, though).

Yay, kicked a set shot.

Now need to get back on my chair.

Godard very lazy footballer your goal champ

Good to see Joe Daniher finally displaying his normal shite accuracy today instead of pulling goals out of his arse like he usually does against us.

Do not let that Dirty Sanchez looking goof into the game Melbourne

odds Demons 1.55 others 2.45

What on earth was Daniher trying to do there? What a nong.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
