Melbourne theme song

Hi all. 

Was wondering if anyone can help me.

My pop sadly passed away Sunday morning and he was a big Melbourne supporter and we would like to play the Melbourne theme song but in a slow version. Does anyone on here know if there is a slow version going around?

Hi Armstrong35. Condolences to you for the loss of your Pop.

I am not aware of a slow version of A Grand Old Flag, other posters may be. At my father's funeral last year, we played a slow song at the end that reflected our Scottish roots. As thia aong faded, A Grand Old Flag trumpeted through. We had the wake next to the chapel immediately after this. It seemed to work well, honouring Dad's demon love and finishing on a high note.

There was a version at the start of the 1998 "Hotter than hell" season video which would be a good one but who & where it came from I have no idea.

Try this CD. I had it years ago & from memory the slow version I mentioned above was on there. I'm sure someone on this forum would have the CD & be able to tell you if it's on there.

Yeah there is also a version at the start of "the Red & the Blue" demons history DVD but no idea where you could get it. There might be something in the credits though.

I watched Demons Magic Moments DVD last night and there was a slow version, sung by a woman in the opening sequence. Sorry can't be more specific mate, but check out YouTube. Has to be around somewhere

I have this CD somewhere at home, will try and hunt it out. Definately has an appropriate slow version of our song

Maybe you could also play this if your Dad had a good sense of Humour
