I found it extremely difficult to separate my top three.  A lot was asked of them, and they did the red and blue proud in demanding circumstances.  The next tier was also difficult, and a few were unlucky not to feature.

4.  Hibberd

3.  Hunt

1. Oliver 4.80 / 1st - just over Hibberd....over use of handball when a quick kick i50 will do just as much damage a high percentage of time

2. Hibberd 4.08 / 2nd

3. Watts 2.93 / 11th - no hit out stats included but a 2.93 score around the ground was only bettered by Big Maxy in Rnd 2 vs the Blues where he scored 3.28!

4. Garlett 3.73 / 8th - our only effective forward who also played a fantastic 2nd half much of it up the field, admittedly most of the good work after half time.

5. Hunt 4.03 / 3rd - ran out of steam with about 10 to go in the 3rd but was brilliant up till then.

6. T-Mac 3.95 / 4th - undid some of his solid early work in the 2nd half with some costly one on one losses but he was taking their best forward.

Michael Hibberd's terrific debut was rewarded with plenty of points but Clayton Oliver was very good too and he increases his lead on the progressive points table.

The first four were easy (although ordering them was hard). The last two were near impossible to identify.

6. Hibberd

5. Oliver

4. Hunt

3. Watts

2. Melksham (yes, truly)

1. Vince (yes, truly)

Viney was great in the first quarter, Petracca struggled manfully and creatively in patches, and Tom McDonald was good when he wasn't actually anywhere near Jack Reiwoldt.

Incredible to see that Viney does not have a single vote, what a strange year he is having so far.

Watched the game AGAIN on replay. Oliver was a bull but ineffective in disposals. 30 plus possessions but should use handballs more wisely

 10 turnovers... ouch.

He can be a Star but needs to run and deliver. The kid must be taught how to use his power. His extract to GARLETT  showed his ability.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
