FFS. Don't be so petty.  It was a throw away line which was to highlight the appreciation of him choosing us and we taking him.  As an aside, it would not be the first time that numbers have changed between players when a new (and high profile) recruit is signed.  But whatever.  Geez, the sky would fall if the numbers changed and Lewis would be less than genuine if he wanted it.  Wouldn't he?

If it was a throw away line, you should have thrown it away.

Oliver doesn't have slow leg speed.

Had great results in the sprints, 3k's and agility when drafted.

Oliver's brain and his hands are so super fast which may make his legs look slower, relatively.  ?

Our speed and outside mid stocks aren't bad:

Lumumba, Hunt, Harmes, Kennedy, Vince, Salem, Melksham, Petracca, Garlett, Kent

we have a few guys who can run and carry and be damaging on the outside.

the thing to remember is that fast runners doesn't always mean fast ball movement, the Dockers have Pierce and Hill but still seem to move the ball quite slowly.

Stretch as well.

Are you excited Big Kev?  Sorry mate, but not my problem if people don't get nuance.

Posters such as 'Drongo Pedantry' seem to forget this is entertainment, and being the killjoy who thinks he's the  validation officer for the CIA is akin to the bore who watches a sci-fi film and loudly disclaims the possibilities being toyed with...

its tedius.

I think italics may be required or was that sarcasm?

No, I was being facetious

And I thought I was, really.

Slob reporting on SEN that the deal won't get done today...

That was a certainty as soon as the headlines all agreed it was going to happen today. The media is mozzing the deal.

Who gets 31?

Chunk or Viney should be playing in 31.

Wondering if it's because another deal needs to be completed before we can finalise exactly which pick we're going to give?

Look I don't think Trenners is rapt about this trade.

Trengove was extremely fortunate to still be on the list. He will NOT play another senior game IMO!

After 10am.   Was he sober?

Agreed Picket who will we keep out for him to play very difficult choice.

Which is a great place to be.

No more 'who can we find to fill this gap?'

but of course that is a totally uninformed prediction from a supporter with little idea how he will come out of a full pre season and what our injury situation will be like next season.

but good on you for finding a way to pot shot Jack Trengove in a thread about Jordan Lewis.

LEWIS REQUESTS TRADE

Reports this afternoon that Jordan Lewis has officially requested a trade from Hawthorn to Melbourne.

A possible reason that it won't get done today is that there could be a three way trade which might help Hawks get O'Meara which might take more time to put together.

I am going to go ahead and consider this a big fish.  We are back people.

Surely the Dees just want to get in and out as quick as possible and not get wrapped up in the JOM situation.

I think someone posted the real reason it is being stalled. The Hawks want to announce O'Meara at the same time to lessen the criticism.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
