GAMEDAY - Round 23

Featured Replies

That's five goals from five stoppages.

Jones, Viney, Tyson, Vince getting smashed. Backline can't respond fast enough to the entries.

We are really letting them get outside.  We didn't let hawthorn do this, so not sure why is happening now.

It may just be that Selwood and Danger have that bust pace/strength to get there.

We are sooooo slow. No run. Getting smashed in the middle.

TMac having both a good game and a shocker.

He is doing fine. His teammates can't tackle, can't win a stoppages, and are constantly chasing. Hawkins knows exactly how to move.

They are walking all over us.

This is the worst possible performance so far in Roos' last game.

Good hit frosty danger down...

It does not.  Ridiculous comment.

Did you even watch that game?

Hogan, a Weeds, Gawn...no one on the line.

I'd be filthy if I were VB.

Soft. Limp. Midfield is rubbish. Gonna be a long day and a long pre season.

Tip for any Geelong player: if hogans on the mark, take him on. He doesn't like tackling.

Guthrie killing is in space.  Menzel killed is in space there...

With big names like  Sam MenegolaJosh Cowan,  Tom Ruggles,  Jed Bews,  Lincoln McCarthy, plus the geriatrics, we should be able to match this mob for most of the day.

Sad to see our usual flat effort raising it's very ugly head early in this one.

Absolute pathetic  comment

This will be 100+. It's all too hard for our boys. They can't be expected to put in every week, that would take effort and desire....

Viney hasn't once kept his feet today. Hopeless.

We're playing like a nothing team.

So much for seeing out Roos' tenure.

Tom Mac getting a fair old touch up.

Oh well i enjoyed 2016 while it was fun.. Players are already have their minds set on mad monday.

Stop watching now peeps

We haven't turned up at all

Soft lazy footy. Which is disappointing for Roosy last game

We're being beaten by a side pushing for a top 2 spot.

If you're surprised by this so far then you're not very bright.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
