True, but you can stream in HD to your smart TV if it has a web browser.

Fair enough, I just happen to have both. NBN FTTP is fantastic :).

it is much better than streaming via afl app at a poor quality to the TV. It costs a little more (about $160 for the year) but still a lot cheaper than Foxtel if your only interested in the footy.

Another option if you don't have a smart TV is to stream via a laptop and connect to the TV via HDMI.

My only issue with the VPN is Netflix has geoblocked me :(

There has been considerable backlash this year to the way in which the byes have been arranged. The three weeks of 6 games each has been awful IMO and the week off between Round 23 and the finals is going to go down like a lead balloon, if it hasn't already.

Hopefully we see something else next year.

I'm currently mile high on a plane to Singapore. Fortunately, they have internet on this craft. Does anyone have a good link to a livestream of the game today? 

 

I am going to [censored] a lot of people off on this flight with my cheering and/or frustration.

How do you get kids interested in the game when there are no TV games during waking hours week after week? Even attending games is hard when they finish at 6pm.

Some long term thinking would be worthwhile, rather than short term TV ratings.

I don't think Channel 7 understands the concept of business sustainability.

    UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

    Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024.     Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock for the final week of training for the 1st to 4th Years until they are joined by the rest of the senior squad for Preseason Training Camp in Mansfield next week.     A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players.
