Oh, and one more thing. It is laughable that these peanuts will be running around next year with Darcy Parish, pick 1 and their whole finals-ready squad back in tact. It's disgusting.

We had one friday night game last year which we won on a cold wet night in front of a big crowd. Showed improvement through 2015 and were rewarded with 0 this year.

The bummers bring the code into disrepute, finish lower then us in 2015 and all in sundries know they're 12 are going to get suspended, yet they get 2 Friday Night games this year including indoors v the reigning champs.  And suprise, suprise it's a blow out and no one turns up.

A please explain is surely in order!

Welcome to the wonderful world of Gil the Deal Maker!

1. EFC were done over by some Swiss lawyers who at worst are likely corrupt and at best don't understand our local game.

2. They've been so brave! Gee it must take guts to front up week after week knowing you're going to get hammered. If that doesn't earn you some Friday night games then what does?!?

3. Think of all the lovely money they'll bring in when we've got them up and running hot.

4.  3. How would your pitiable club like to play 5 home games at Etihad and 3 in Darwin? Travel twice to WA and SA. No QB and no Anzac. No? Then shut up.

And we wake up to this:  http://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/essendon-coach-john-worsfold-says-channel-7-would-be-the-loser-if-afl-banishes-bombers-from-friday-night-footy/news-story/845aec9a14aef5bb923af623dd4e0af3

'John Worsfold says host broadcaster Channel 7 would be the loser if the AFL banishes Essendon from the Friday night stage in 2017 because of its uncompetitive season'.

Then: 'The Friday night fizzer drew the smallest Dons-Hawks crowd since 1990 and gave Essendon its worst home attendance against a Victorian club since 1995'.

If their own fans don't go to games how can they expect general footy fans (who like to relax watching Fri night games) to watch last night's rubbish!

So arrogant that club.

port-footscray is super entertaining football.

Interesting side note re this game- last time dogs played an SA team the free kick count was 27 for them and 11 against(adelaide}

The pressure must have got to the umps as it was the about the reverse today

Watching the Dogs game on AFL internet - great game but how annoying is that <noun for one who tosses> Derwayne?   Makes it hard to listen to.

Aaron Young's goal deadset never went in and when the replay cut to the goal umpire's camera he wasn't even watching the ball!

Hard to believe how good the Dogs are with so many injuries to their backline. They have nailed every pick in the last 4 years.

Gotta wonder where we'd be today if we'd taken Bont with pick 2 instead of trading for Tyson and Salem. Was he our mystery target?

We can learn from the dogs. They don't throw in the towel and can perform with injuries.

I guess we can wonder all we want, but it is all interesting though useless speculation really.

One could also speculate about Salem being injury free and euthyroid.

I watched the game and had a slightly different wonder....

Stringer, Wines or Toumpas?

I don't think it will, happen until we get the right coach and all the prerequiste luck that goes with it.

It's their systems. It means they just need role players who can play four consistent quarters. Plug and play types.

In other news, would anyone be interested in Lewis Taylor? Is he quick enough for that half forward role that we seem to be grooming a number of players for?

We already have the next coach who works with the team everyday

Concerning.

Its a funny game.....Dons smashed by hawks who we gave a run for their money. Yet Dons beat us.

You just know it will be their only bloody win for the year as well. Note to self.....Get over it.

Love to,but it is always the other clubs who move on whilst we remain bolted to the lower end...

Did Toumpas play today?

I don't care either way to be honest. If we'd made the same mistakes in the past three years I'd remain [censored] off, but our recruiting has been brilliant since Roos walked in and Jason Taylor has nailed pretty much all his picks.

Yes but we should still have won more games than we have...

I'll move things forward....

Leppa should be getting onto Seek.com during the week, and updating his LinkedIn profile. 2017 will be full of 'different' opportunities for him.
The Bears look bloody uninterested against a Freo team with a makeshift forward line.

They kicked the first 3 goals. Since then it's been 128 - 30. Thats ugly against the 17th team on the ladder.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
