My 3 word player analysis V Pt Adelaide

DC, when were are good, it gives us hope.  When we are bad, it is generally down to  a lack of discipline.  I reckon at the moment that teams that are not doing well, pencil us in as vulnerable, if they, as the opposition, can put enough pressure on.  This is what we still have to learn.  Absorb the pressure and put it back on them.  Until we learn that, we will continue to lose games we should win, on a talent for talent basis.  This is what hurts at the moment and makes it difficult for us (supporters) to exorcise ghosts of the recent past.

[censored] comparison. Tyson was poor today no doubt, but has no resemblance as a player to toumpas whatsoever. It's a lazy sledge.

So many pessimistic bulldusters on this site. Get real how many of you ever got a kick or taken a mark or kicked a goal ( or a behind) ?

Besides his game against Richmond he has been pathetic for a year and a half now, a 1 year wonder, time to be dropped. A half fit Oli would have been more serviceable.

Ten to twelve TOUGH players out there for Port today( Tough as in non compromising, sacrifice type players). Three to four for us maybe.

Dislike button would be nice for posts like this, Tyson has played 50 games, was playing well before missing a match with injury, he's a key to our future.

As did Garland IMO

I thought he played better. He is terrible one on one especially when the balls on the deck though.

You're joking. Slow start to the year, but played well until his illness. Comparing him to Toumpas is a [censored] joke.

We played poorly today, Kent picks when to turn up, Harmes wasn't sighted, Omac is too skinny to outmuscle opponents, etc. Will be interesting to see which Melbourne turns up next week against the Hawks.

Dean is a lazy Kent. I counted 4 occasions in the first half when under no pressure he kicked it to the opposition. Not good enough - needs to correct his attitude at Casey.

Harsh on Gawn.  The issue wasn't that he couldn't hit his mids, it was that by the time the ball got to them they were already being tackled.

The only positive from the game was Maxie's return to form .

Billy Strech and Hunt were also a positive. Hogan's contested marking is a thing of beauty. If he can eventually kick the ball as well as he marks it, he will be unstoppable

He played as bad a game as i have ever seen from a senior player. His performance was laughable and quite comic in its execution or lack there of.

I see Kent as a barometer of sorts - when the team is on, he's on, when the team is struggling he struggles. i reckon he's still got a bit too much of the previous era about him and has been relatively lucky to not be tarred with the same brush as Tapscott, Strauss, Blease etc. In my opinion the best game he has played was Richmond last year before he did his string. he looked on that night.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
