Jones - playing second fiddle

Viney - incredible second half

Jetta - performed as required

McDonald - dynamic and imprenetable

Bugg - was rarely noticed

Dunn - complements McDonald perfectly

Lumumba - brave and effective

Salem - superb with possession

Gawn - supreme all game

Vince - a wonderful finisher

Wagner - reliable and confident

Tyson - season's best performance

Watts - fulfilling vital role

Frost - effective third quarter

Harmes - exciting when involved

Kent - dangerous and creative

Brayshaw - second year blues

Hogan - better with space

Pedersen - does just enough

Hunt - cause for optimism

Kennedy - some useful touches

Garlett - was always dangerous

"Bugg - was rarely noticed"...he was certainly noticed by a number of Tiges players and that's all that matters...he unsettled them and put them off their game. I loved the way he went about his game today!

Tmac - great intercept marks

And horrible kicks to follow.

Really love Jayden Hunt's attack, dash and creativity. I think we have a fantastic player on our hands with Hunt.

Shanked a couple but did some nice things as well.

Definitely did some nice things, but there was a patch of a couple of minutes where he kicked three straight to the opposition and one out of bounds. Just refrain from kicking - I have to close my eyes when he has the ball now.

Otherwise, he's fantastic.

I like Hunt but absolutely love Josh Wagner. I feel at peace when has the ball, he doesn't panic and makes good decisions.

Wagner is going to be a good player, whenever he has the ball I feel at ease.

Wagner has absolutely shocked me the last fortnight. So composed.

... especially considering his early games. He's easily best 22. Big tick to the recruiters.

Bugg: really tough bugg*r

Jayden Hunt reminds me of a better mans Clint Bartram! maybe even Hoppy!! Not a bad wrap!!

Yeah I must apologise, he has been a revelation. Sheeit I was wrong abut this Kid, but happy to admit a mistake I see a Lot of Anthony Ingerson in him and he's a better Kick!

Loved Bugg's game. Good in the clinches.

Disappointed with Dunn's game. Continues to do more stupid things than beneficial things.

It is no coincidence that the team plays better with Lynden Dunn in it! Should never ever have been out of the side! A fixture methinks!

Jones - has earnt this
Viney - non stop effort
Jetta - goes when needed
McDonald - zone squadron leader
Lumumba - zone squadron deputy
Bugg - likes it hot
Dunn - longer 't'went better
Salem - slices and dices
Gawn - all round quality
Vince - brings lovely balance
Wagner - modern day defender
Tyson -  yin to Viney's-yang
Watts - efficiency creates confidence
Frost - unpredictable and intruiging
Harmes - finding nice rhythm
Kent - spread all day
Brayshaw - not even concerned
Hogan - best was subtle
Pedersen - complemented team-mates well
Hunt - holding his own
Kennedy - hard and smart
Garlett - a pleasing return

Bugg?? Best game yet.

He was in their face.. Pointed to the stands whilst running into goal after taking a speccy..

yeah didn't notice him at all..

maybe watch the game next time..

Bugg wasnt bad for mine. He certainly put a few richmond players off their game. Dunn a few errors but still worth his spot in the team. He has missed a few this year. Will get better. Still wouldnt mind him having a go up forward and moving Pederson back. While Pedo is only averging half a goal a game, his marking and effort has lifted.

Petracca may come in for Brayshaw next week.

What I like about Bugg is he's a throw back to Zantuck and when we had a couple of players who were [censored] but they were our [censored]

Ha. Bugg was massively noticed. Bigfooty right up in his Grill.

Love your Dunn respect. Demonlanders should take note.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

It seems like only yesterday that these two sides faced off against each other in the centre of the continent. It was when Melbourne was experiencing a rare period of success with five wins from its previous six matches including victories over both of last year’s grand finalists.  Well, it wasn’t yesterday but it was early last month and it remains etched clearly in the memory. The Saints were going through a slump and the predicted outcome of their encounter at TIO Traeger Park was a virtual no-brainer. A Melbourne victory and another step closer to a possible rise into finals contention. Something that was unthinkable after opening the season with five straight defeats.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.
