GWS academy kid that fits our mantra perfectly.

Lives in Ballarat but his home address is in the GWS academy zone.

With our reasonable relationship with GWS and their need for a tall forward with Boyd gone and McCarthy more than likely leaving next year

could we possibly have a gentlemens agreement with GWS that if nobody with earlier picks bid for him and we do, that GWS let him through to us which

in turn gives them a chance at a tall getting through to them at 10?

Might be a long shot and more than likely won't happen, but weirder things have happened...

I would bet my left one GWS will not let this kid go anywhere else . they've invested quite alot in him.

That pick they have at 10 will be used for points on Hopper or Kennedy, any agreement that they would have with us would also require Ess, GC, Carlton, and Adel to be in on.

It simply won't happen.

Possibly the most ridiculous proposition I've read this trade period.

Do Academy players have the ability to say no to those clubs? Like how a father/son doesn't have to go to his father's club if he doesn't want to ala Marc Murphy (I think).

Not 100% sure but I'm fairly certain DeeMfc that he is seen as the replacement for Treloar, hence why they needed to trade to ensure they had enough points for him and for their other academy player(s).

Yeah, you need to do a bit of work on the insults too mate.

More than likely. The kid will be a gun.

It wasn't an insult. It was an educated observation.

You see, people with these disorders often don't know or simply refuse to admit they have them.

I was just bringing it to your attention so you could work on being a better person E25 :-)

Can I just say that - in light of the Differing Opinions thread - that the high ground is lost when someone who is aggressively 'posted at' the way you were just then replies with a retort worse than the initial aggressive post.

So while I would not be as obnoxious as Mach5 was above - it is hardly helpful to respond the way you did.

Just sayin...

Yeah... Nah.

Look, it was a bloody silly suggestion, and I apologise if my honest opinion offends you.

Glad you got a chance to use some of what you've learnt in the pseudo psychology elective you've taken as part of your arts degree though.

Edit: Having said that, I'll happily put my hand up for narcissism.

I could be persuaded to accept a very mild case of your PPD, but it's more a case of healthy skepticism, cynicism and just being a c**t in general.

Silly suggestion? In hindsight I would have to agree. Although it was more wishful thinking after viewing the highlights package...

Apology accepted.

I too apologise for the bluntly worded observation.

'Pseudo' nice one. Like your pseudo source from 'out Geelong way'... Sorry, couldn't help myself :-)

Arts degree. Me? Not a chance in hell.

Edit - edited for accuracy but accepted none the less.

If you are accepting your narcissism then your last sentence is probably right on the money. Although we all have at least a slight case of that I suspect...

Well played.

Agreed. I would say there were more ridiculous propositions but in hindsight he was right. It was purely wishful thinking after viewing the highlights package.

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players.
