Coq au vin 755 Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 It's no surprise someone at the West Coast Cheats was going to spill the beans eventually on lies and cover ups at this club. Worsfold can continue to deny any knowledge, Eagles Management and staff will also deny involvement, however what peeves me off as a lover of football is the deceit and bad culture that is covered up at all clubs, especially clubs like the eagles who rise to grand finals every few years. Eagles supporters still think Cousins is a legend and saint!!!! Head up backsides about how their club operates behind the scenes. Drugs liars and cheats..... Mach5 and Chook Fowler think everyone's on drugs and they think it's ok.
hemingway 7,633 Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 You have a bit of cheek 'rjay'...telling the erudite man of letters, how to structure a paragraph! I do agree tho, I like Ernest's posts but some spacing etc will help. point taken boys.
Lucifers Hero 40,756 Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 I'm no stranger to bad behaviour and there's nothing much that can shock me but I've been told that the media is also sitting on another story about a certain high profile footballer who might have bitten off more than he can chew and his strikes have finally all caught up to him. The news is expected to be published soon after the grand final if it gets the ok from the legal people. Is that a connection to the article referred to by 'Pink Freud' in the 'Luke Parker' thread?
SidVicious 133 Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Is that a connection to the article referred to by 'Pink Freud' in the 'Luke Parker' thread? Can I run that past my legal people before I give you an answer to that question?
Sir Why You Little 37,499 Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Take a look who wrote the article Her timing doesn't suprise me at all Cheap shot from a loud Whorethorn supporter... Karma will return

Guest Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Has anyone on here ever watched a little Thursday night institution called 'The Footy Show'?Take one good look at that and you'll work out pretty quickly why a certain percentage of AFL footballers remain bigoted meatheads who behave like tip rats on a weekend and why certain parts of the codes culture are exclusionary. On a bit of a side note, I remember one time going to a Footy Show taping in 2012 (my younger brother had gotten free tickets he had applied for 5 years earlier) and for some reason, Sam Newman decided to give us all a discourse on global warming. It was almost something like out of an Andrew Bolt column.

As I said, I got the tickets from my brother for free. Unlike yourself who has cocooned yourself in your little doomsday shelter out in Burwood, I am a true renaissance man who deals with all members of the public.

I have learnt the principle of going along to get along. In the interests of social cohesion and being amiable, I went along with the other 12 members of our party. Sadly, being an obstinate curmudgeon, this is not a concept that is likely to resonate with you. Again, unlike yourself, I do not base my existence on the weekly watching of what is quite a banal and lame football show; yet again reinforcing my 'doom bunker comment'. BTW, who the hell still videotapes things? Do you still have an eight track in your car as well? And when you're not listening to that, do you pull out the walkman to have a listen to Pseudo Echo's version of funky town? Upon which you send a review of said song to your father in law on your fax machine? P.S. I have no footy show in my life right now Daisy due to my current locale. You will be pleased to know as well that I have found Japan's first all purpose hipster neighbourhood to live in as well. Imagine those scenes from Vietnam with the streets loaded with bikes but replace the standard treadlies with fold out bikes and blokes wearing grandpa hats and that's where I'm at.

There is an implication that some people may actually pay for these tickets?!?? Restore my faith in humanity and tell me it's not true.
Guest Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 There is an implication that some people may actually pay for these tickets?!?? Restore my faith in humanity and tell me it's not true. All the tickets are free but there is a waiting list as long as your arm. The younger bro applied sometime in 2006 and it took him until 2012 to get a phone call to say he could come. The actual show itself is bloody exhausting as Michael Pope comes out during every ad break to get the crowd excited for the next segment. One can only cheer so long for a show that is so mediocre.
Mach5 4,768 Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Went a couple of years ago to the GF episode of TFS because the missus received free tickets through work (and no one else at her work was silly enough to accept the offer). It was one of the most painful nights of my life, as far as one where you're supposed to be on the receiving end of "entertainment." Couldn't wait to get the hell out of there.
Whispering_Jack 31,381 Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 I hardly ever watch the Footy Show these days but that's because my days of appreciating brain dead smutty schoolboy humour have long passed me by. However, it's worth knowing that this is the wellspring of our football culture and once you're aware of this fact then you can understand better why and how some members of the crowd at AFL games behave the way they do.

I agree with nearly all you say there Jack-but Smutty humour has it's place and time, outside the schoolyard in my case due to current laws .Inside the schoolyard for many a teacher on here, who somehow are allowed to work with children. In fact, this is the schoolyard you have when you are far too old for school.

If anyone needed to make an appearance in a thread with the words 'sleaze' and 'drugs' in the title, it had to be you Biff.
