I was reading he has kicked over 80 goals in the VFL the last 2 season.

Seems to be a typical tall who starts to get it together mid to late twenties.

Could be a good second ruck/forward to partner with Hogan.... thoughts?

For those that are not aware - every year Demonland has a Draft and Trading Board usually named after a pun of some sort. This year it is the Taylor Made Trade and Draft Board (named after our head recruiter who has a pretty decent strike rate at the minute it has to be said...)

So if you are wondering why there is nothing on here about drafting, trading, etc - it's over there...

Can we get a tab for it on the mobile version?

Save it to your favourites - if you use the site map back to the list of boards - you will see it there.

Sorry if there was already a thread set up (couldn't be bothered searching for it).

Linked with Brisbane.

Has a pretty bad attitude apparently

I'd have a pretty bad attitude as well if all my team mates are winning flags including blokes off the street like McEvoy and being demoted to the rookie list.

He can come to Melbourne, push Dawes out the side and hopefully play a role as forward/ruck which is something we desperately need.

Looks a slightly stronger version of Jack Fitzpatrick. More of a runner then pack crasher which is probably what we're more after.

Played 3 games at AFL level after 6 years in the system. Project player but he is a while off being a #1 ruck forward player. Would be interesting to see what he would cost, but it looks as though he is bound for brisvegas (his dad and grandfather both played for Fitzroy so it's not surprising to see him head to the lions)

Lead the VFL goalkicking two years in a row, i'm assuming it must just be his size?

Probably something to do with being a good VFL level player getting silver service from a good VFL team.

Is imho that type of player Roos would look at.

Could he provide a valid support to Hogan ? Could he ruck for up to 20 odd mins here and there ?

Does he know where the sticks are ?

can he fulfil a role ?

Answer these and you form a picture.

Id be surprised if we didn't at least cast a glance his way.

They have delisted him and picked up Fitzy....,

got me stuffed as to why. Each to own.

Grimely can kick goals.

Not saying GET him.just be surprised if we didnt have a look

Brisbane bound I believe.

Mahoney said we're unlikely to get any delisted free agents this year, so doubt we'll be in the picture.

Fitzy will kick 50 a year in that very strong Box Hill side.

and will probably get that chanve

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?

  • FEATURE: 1925

A hundred years ago today, on 2 May 1925, Melbourne kicked off the new season with a 47 point victory over St Kilda to take top place on the VFL ladder after the opening round of the new season.  Top place was a relatively unknown position for the team then known as the “Fuchsias.” They had finished last in 1923 and rose by only one place in the following year although the final home and away round heralded a promise of things to come when they surprised the eventual premiers Essendon. That victory set the stage for more improvement and it came rapidly. In this series, I will tell the story of how the 1925 season unfolded for the Melbourne Football Club and how it made the VFL finals for the first time in a decade on the way to the ultimate triumph a year later.
