This isn't a rumor, just a hypothetical.

If Howe is traded for pick 15 (North's pick, and of course just speculation that this would happen), would pick 6, 15, 43 be enough to get Treloar and Bugg?

If not, what needs to be added/substituted to make it work?

Absolutely. That is more than the Dangerfield deal.

You need to have atleast have 3 live picks in the draft.

I thought you just needed to make 3 list changes. They could be trades, draft picks, upgrades, or whatever

On SEN they are saying that the Pies are meeting with Howe probably in Bali ad could make a big play for him.

I think that could be a disaster for us.

If we have made enquiries of GWS re Treloar and the Pies know, then they could stop us getting a pick to give GWS, by convincing Howe to nominate them and then just stuffing around until the last day, where we are forced into a firesale for him.

All hypothetical of course.

Why would you want to go to the Pies, who missed out on finals, when you could go to a team that has made the prelims the last two years?

I agree with this. And yes hypothetical, but it would snuff it out. Kind of hoping North get him, unless GC can help us out somehow.

How could the Pies get Treloar, Howe, etc... pickwise?

Because Collingwood is closer to a flag than North.

The wheels are about to fall off at the Kangas.

Not if they have guns like Howe playing for them..

Jungle drums suggest deal done.. Treloar to be a Pie

Kennedy.

& 26?

So Treloar had groin surgery in Tassie after his Pies medical but did not tell the club he is still contracted to about the surgery. Nothing to do with the Pies of course.

Who paid for it? That sort of thing would normally be covered by the club (GC). If you're saying they didn't know, did the Pies pay? Their insurance wouldn't cover him. Did he pay for it himself?

From AFL website on Treloar's operation: 'The Giants are now seeking clarification from Treloar and his manager Peter Blucher, who said: "I’m not saying anything about anything until everything is done. I’m not saying a word about anything." ...Collingwood assured the Giants it had no involvement in the operation.'

This is the same Blucher guy who was so 'honest' with mfc in his management of one TS several years ago.

It sounds like he has a story to tell but isn't telling...

...If he is quoted correctly it seems a case of 'he who protests too much'!.

Sorry to be cynical folks but I don't trust a word that guy says!

I would expect the AFL to be asking a few questions and check who paid the medical bills!!

Edit: Bulcher is also the guy who was suspended for a year over the Kurt Tippett fiasco.

Wow, that really is an odd scenario, would that be break of contract? It certainly is not working in good faith.

Filth welcome to him...and may yhey pay through the nose.

You think they didn't organize it so he would be ready for 2016?

quite likely and i wish the karma fairies to unleash retribution for dodgy dealings :)

Wow really? How the hell is he allowed back in AFL industrie?

Something definitely not right there.

Groin surgery in another state. Yeah, pure coincidence.

LOL.

Gotta love the way rich clubs get away with whatever they want. Obviously nothing came of the contract Maguire's company gave Treloar's girlfriend, either. Shocking.

Treloar's been one of my favourite young players to watch over the last few years.

I think I'm goin to loathe him running around in the Collingwood colours.

Isn't it a given...you just loathe Collingwood?

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?
