There team selections were mind boggling. Bringing in two giraffes in Tabaner and Griffith when they needed more run and energy and then to start suban as a sub when they could have used his polish off half back is another thats cost them the game.

Turn it up, seriously, it's easy to be nonchalant about winning preliminary finals when you've made four consecutive grand finals.

The majority of North's list won't have played in one, let alone won three flags.

As I said at the start of the night, Norths first final is tomorrow. Richmond and Sydney didn't count. If North get flogged tomorrow they will be stupid enough to think that they have achieved something this year.

It seems everything the Hawks do turns to gold, everything we do turns to shitz.

Hawthorn is everything I want the Dee's to be but fark I really dislike them.

Couldn't agree more, especially with Tabaner, the guy has absolutely no follow up or second effort.

Suban as sub was plain stupid.

I flew over 5 times to watch them live for 8 games..

Working hard and having money sucks some times...

How's those flights working out for you?

I work hard and have money and can be at the G in 15 minutes

with my MCC membership mind you

thanks for playing

How lonely are you?

I have an MCC membership myself. What's your point exactly?

this is exactly the type of hindsight heroics you charge in with after our losses

when a game is lost you can point to any one thing and call it the reason

I don't have the same anger towards chip as some on hear but if he wins good on him.

I know he has coasted into the Hawks team but he served his time at our basket case of a club for years without success.

I just wish I could change teams too, life would be a lot easier!

Someone above mentioned that the free kicks were even, hinting that all is ok. Not at all. Hawthorn were very cool, calm and efficient under pressure while the dockers were horrible even when under no pressure. The result was right - Hawks were simply outstanding and as much as I hate them I admore theor ability to simply keep on winning. But the umpiring was atrocious and some sort of official complaint has to be made. My son umpires so I am not an umpire basher. I just get really irate when (supposedly) AFL standard umpires absolutely stuff up a game.

Not sure why people are going on about frawley. Sure I was annoyed when he left, but thats what FA is all about about. Players choosing to leave to get a better opportunity. Brian Lake is now going for his 3rd successive premiership. Now Chip is going to play in his first ever GF. Good on him, his ex teammates will be very jealous and wish it was them. I dont blame chip. I know which position id rather be in.

Geez it must feel good to be a hawks fan. One day I hope to be this excited.

The other thing is Ross Lyon will now go even harder for another forward and will have Hogan in his sights. Hopefully they can get someone in this years trade period.

This is why people never rated Freo. They just cant score goals. They would be the only team to finish 2 games clear on top and come into a prelim fresh after a week off and not go in as favourites. I think Ross has a few questions to answer.

Yeah you got me, I fly over to watch the footy because I'm lonely....?

Your wit has got the better of me CnB, other posters don't need to read this rubbish.

You're ignored.

Will run this again...but it looks like Lyon is not the man to take them to the prize.

Not the great coach he is made out to be, he's not a finisher.

You made some good points Rjay. Ross only had to watch 3 games before tonight.

Eagles v Hawks two weeks ago, Port v Hawks and Tigers v Hawks from the home and away. Deny them space, deny easy possession and pressure the ball carrier.

He's out of ideas, hasn't blooded much youth, where to now....the trapdoor.

I meant that they will move into 3rd place on the most premierships won ladder. It's Carlton/Essendon equal first with 16, Collingwood next with 15 and Hawthorn and us on equal 3rd with 12.

Ahhh ,,, no . We are equal fourth now with the arrogant ones. If those toe rags win next week, we will be fifth.

Just saw an add on 7 advertising memorabilia for .........................Hawks trilogy of premierships!!

I thought this was the prelim not the gf but I may be wrong!

Obviously they are confident the Hawks will win again. Lucki barztards.

I'd be happy with just one TBH.

I think I would have felt more sick in the guts if it was sylvia playing for a premiership next week instead of frawley. At least Frawley played good footy for us.

But you have to admire clarko and how good a coach he is. He lost his right hand man in bolton, his other coach is still grieving for his son. Maybe its our ex players that are geniuses in YZE, Bruce and Neitz. They are all playing there role down there.

can't believe what I am seeing.. brad 'Johnno' johnson congratulating Brian 'lakey' Lake and talking about Frawley doing a good job... if you could hear an honest answer it would be 'yeah we're both a couple of disloyal coward whores that fled the minnow clubs to hitch ourselves to the bandwagon of a winning club and now we're having more fun, man it's so much easier when you have quality players carrying the team and you can just sit back and bask in the reflected glory'

North will get shat on tomorrow, nothing surer. They are pretenders and were lucky to face another, frankly, pretending team in Richmond then a remarkably flat Sydney (missing their 4 best players to boot).

The way they've carried on all week is frankly laughable. The way they are parading themselves around as if they actually stand a chance is laughable. If, by some miracle, West Coast find a way to lose tomorrow, next Saturday will feature the single biggest winning margin in a grand final the game has ever seen.

As for Hawthorn, 5 Grand Finals in 8 years. There's something very, very wrong with the state of the game if AFL HQ actually have the gall to come out and say "the competition has never been more even!" at any point in the next 6 months.

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best.
