GAME DAY - Round 22

Featured Replies

Geez, Garland is hopeless.

Garland is a weak and rubbish footballer. Seriously pathetic effort on Ibbitson.

Can't listen or watch, but we have had 3 i50s to zero at this very early stage 3min 23sec, so looking good so far.

Garland and Dunn are awful.

EDIT: Argh, that replay. Garland body contact and positioning is truly awful sometimes.

We're gonna be lucky to kick 4 goals today.

Has Garland won a one on one this year???

3 minutess in and no Freo goal. Going to be close!

4 mins. You jinxed it.

surprise surprise pokerface Garland concedes the first goal

is there a reverse coleman medal cos our colin has it stitched up

ps oscar mac hits the opposition on the chest with his first kick, how appropriate

He and Howe packed the bags months ago.

LOL, Freo player took 3 Melbourne players on, incorrect disposal, had about 3 seconds to dispose, "Play on".

Awful umpiring after the holding the ball on Stretch.

Haha Dwayne just said Hogan's not signed up yet. What an idiot.

I like that despite being signed for 2 more years accordingly to the commentators Melbourne hasn't signed Hogan yet

Our delivery inside 50 is rubbish

Which commentator just said Jesse Hogan is 'not yet signed up by Melbourne'. What a [censored].

What a [censored] pathetic call by the umpire!!

lol, free kick in front of goal for big nose Pav, after Hogan has been held by 3 guys at every entry.

Already getting gangbanged by the umpires.

Will we ever get the better of the umpiring in a game ever??

What a [censored] pathetic call by the umpire!!

Come on, if you don't expect bias umpiring here when can you expect it?

Doesn't help that we can't kick

Great. More home town decisions..... How come we don't get those??

Dwayne Russell. Probably won't make the top ten of stupid things he'll say in this game.

Hates Melbourne too and doesn't hide it.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
