It's a grand old flag

It's a high-flying flag

It's the emblem for me and for you

It's the emblem of the team we love

And credit to you who stood true

Every heart beats true

For the red and the blue

Credit to me and to you'se

And credit to a man we know

A bloke that is known as Paul Roos

Extra verses welcome.

Time to celebrate in song.

Regards to all,

Rollo

No takers ??

Guess we are a different group in 2015...

Its not much, but try this for size ...

Oh the team were keen back in twenty-fifteen
When they went to Kardinia Park,
From the very first bell in that place of hell
They played with great spirit and spark
Every heart played true for the red and the blue
And they sang the song brave and true
And we sang for all the rest of time
Keep your eye on the red and the blue!

Oh I celebrated today believe me and we sang it hard and long (As a Invited guest in the Geelong Corporate boxes) so you can just guess how that

went down.

( Actually the Cat supporters where in shock I think )

All we got from Geelong supporters on the way to the ground was not "if" they would beat us but rather by how much they would beat us.

They where all so Cocky !!

After living in this area for so long and putting up with the shite we have over the past 10 years about how good Geelong is, this is the best present and the best game I have seen Melbourne Play in Geelong if not the best game they have played all year .

'We have only just got home after celebrating ".

I can tell you now it is a Grand Old Flag and I couldn't be happier even if I won Tattslotto (well maybe just a bit happier)

GO 'DEES' and I'm sure we all sung the song at least once today :)

Hey, I can now die knowing that the tradition of song can continue, mate.

Great effort, if I may say so.

How bout this one........

We are Geelong

The crappest team of all,

We are Geelong,

We cannot find the ball,

We play the game,

As it cant be played,

At home or far away,

Our undies flying high,

From dawn to dusk,

Cause Melbourne gave it to us

Right up the ar..........

I re-did our song earlier on another thread (incorporating 'Melbourne')

Melbourne version:

It's a grand old city,

we can't play, what a pity,

it's the emblem that changes intermittently,

it's the emblem of, the team we tolerate,

the team of which others think differently.

Every heart beats occasionally,

depending on the occasion,

for we are Melbourne, the club, the persuasion.

Should old habits finally die hard,

keep your eye on 2016.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
