I still like Dawes but Pederson has played better in his last two games than Chris has since he arrived at the club.

Toump- showing his potential.

Good call on Bail, joeboy.

While the attacking side of his game left a lot to be desired (and we all know you need your small forwards doing much more), I'm pretty sure he spent most of the day on Johannisen who has been really dangerous for the Dogs this year off half back.

So while it's fair to criticise his terrible miss on 3/4 time and a pretty poor attacking performance, a balanced view would at least commend him on a good defensive performance.

If only Ro Bail had done the smart thing and tapped the ball on to Jeff Garlett running into an open goal, it was such an obvious play, but instead he took possession and the opportunity had gone. Unfortuntely, I'm not sure that Bail will be on this list come season's end.

Bail & Jones played their roles today. There were obvious times where the lack of real talent stood out but you know what they both gave it a go and you can't ask for much more than that.

Garlett may have been quieter but his forward pressure and evasive work was at its best

The amount of times Garlett gets a hand in to knock the ball or nearly gather in packs and keep the ball live is immense.

When he got the ball near the 50 and turned skipped around his opponent then ran on I thought to myself this that was another step up in his confidence adjusting up to AFL standard.

He just needs game time to get that confidence and experience and that's obviously why Roosy persists with him.

I can defiantly see his confidence growing with every possession and we will have ourselves a great player in a few couple of years.

Not sure it would have been the smart play. The clock was at about 32 minutes gone at that time. He may well have known that the siren might blow while the ball was in transit. In hindsight, of course, it looks obvious and at any other time in the game it would have been the right play.
