Hunt didn't train - he has some back soreness again. Misson says he'll take it easy for two weeks.

Howe came off half way through the session and got a rub down on both hammies. He then did some running along the boundary at about 80% but didn't participate any further.

Without being an expert, if he strained a muscle badly he would not have been able to stride out like he did in the running on the boundary. He could obviously feel something was not right when he came off. Fingers crossed the MRI doesn't show any damage and that he just had a bit of tightness as he hasn't trained in the main group for so long.

It would have been booked before training this morning; so the MRI would not be as a result of today's training.

If you are at training speak to the players,

Howe is fine, but a week away still, there is no MRI, thinks he should get a half a game/game with Casey in week or so, was highly amused when I told him about the line from here about the Club deliberately holding him back to lower his market value

Bernie Vince is the same, though he did the whole session, hoping this weekend with Casey but if not same as Howe

Posted before White, Riley and Terlich have not done the volume of training just yet,, they may play next week as well, but at Casey

Feel for Hunt, back issue doesn't seem to be going away

Viney didn't do much today and Cross bits and pieces, both on a light day

Vandenberg's melon still looking a bit rough, let me take a pic to put on Twitter

Demonpk soon

Any questions feel free

Whats the intensity at training like now?.

It has been suggested that it had improved.

Have they maintained the improvement?

Was there any reflection on the intensity of the doggies game (2 halfs),

and was there any variation given that we will be playing an Essendon squad which is compromised?

There may be players prepared to coast but more likely a lot have something to prove, (Magner)

I'm pretty sure both Magner and Clisby haven't been named in the Bummers squad.

The mood at training is very upbeat, still some silly errors in the drills, but most of the time it is fine, Roos still concentrating on ball movement, no stopping of drills this time, but he had 2 long chats with the group, in the middle of the session and at the end

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-03-18/nab-challenge-squads

Essendon originally said that no 2012-listed players would play during the NAB Challenge to protect the identities of the 17 or 18 provisionally suspended after ASADA's inquiry into the club's supplements program.

However Baguley now joins David Zaharakis, Elliott Kavanagh, Lauchlan Dalgleish, Nick O'Brien and Jackson Merrett as 2012-listed players selected for the NAB Challenge.

so much for privacy concerns

That's because they have both been ordinary in the games they have played, they were delisted for a reason

Did you account get hacked? I can't believe I just read this.

Told posters before, when a player is on the list, they get my unconditional support, but I also understand why players leave or are delisted, as I understand footy

I find posters calling players NQR, useless or a spud, puerile and offensive, they wouldn't have the kahunas to tell the players to their face

Arsenal got knocked out of the Champions League this morning and I told Chris Salem that his performance today at training reflected this, he told me to do something involving sex and travel haha

Shame that Brayshaw doesn't get a run after his stellar performance last weekend for Casey!

I am loving the lack of kids in the AFL for the Dees. We play them way too early, on not enough form.

No Fitsy - seems to be way down the pecking order at the minute - Rightfully so IMO

No Angus is a little disappointing as I was looking forward to getting a glimpse

He got a bad virus a few weeks back, combined with his diabetes knocked his fitness around a bit, he played a good game for Casey last week

Would love to have a look too, but I really don't mind that he's being held back. Build confidence in the 2's so he feels right at home in the 1's. Might make a few of the midfielders above him more accountable as well, I'd want to play well if I knew there was a budding jet posting big numbers down at Casey.

I'm not doubting your source nor am I really sticking up for Saty and I realise Howe's hamstring injury is a sporting injury and public knowledge not a private medical condition, but I would consider the confidentiality issues regarding talking about medical imaging. I know the TV cameras park out the front like vultures that they are but I don't really think it should always be public knowledge.

If a forward's role is to kick goals, with 22 goals in 19 games, has Fitzy played his role?

Not sure if we play them any earlier than most clubs. The sub rule has helped with giving the kids a taste of AFL without physically destroying them. Our problem is that we build them up to be our saviour, which puts undue pressure on the kid.

Whilst I agree as a general principle, last year our two first selections (Brayshaw & Petracca) were in a different category as they had the bodies to play versus our later picks (Stretch, Neal-Bullen, O. McDonald)!

Nah, I am with rpfc, Brayshaw actually 'enjoyed' the game he played at Casey, so did the other six, let him enjoy a few more games at Casey, then give him a run at sub, we have burnt too many in the past, whether he has the body or not

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
