AFL Live 2015

If you used AFL Live last year and used Airplay to view the match of your TV, watch out.

Without warning in the update to the app they have changed the terms and conditions so that you can't do that anymore. It sort of works, but a lot of the screen is covered by a gray band and some say audio doesn't work. Check out the comments in the iTunes store. There are a lot of angry customers who paid $89 assuming what worked last year would work this year.

Presumably they have done this to protect their other investment, Foxtel.

Several bugs introduced as well, but I guess they will fix those because there is no marketing reason not to.

If l can't watch the Dees live, then there is no better option than the big screen at the local pub with a counter, a bottle or two of red and a group of Demon mates. I cannot seethe attraction of subscribing to Foxtel when the local pub is happy to pay.

Whilst 90 dollars a season for just AFL is a better investment the $50 a month for foxtel is at least now somewhat reasonably priced. By the time you've brought the counter meal, bottle of red etc you've spent most of the $50. Now you have to get value for the rest of the year as well so it helps if you like the international cricket, NFL/baseball/NBA and A league they show but it's at least not a horrendous rip off any longer. On the couch and AFL 360 are pretty nice as well, but I'd put the value of them at about 5-10 dollars a month really max.

start an afl fantasy classic league, fill it by march 2, win an afl live pass for the year. [censored] easy with so many celebs available to add to your league.

site has been rock solid so far, app the same, and the new match centre feature is unreal. it depresses me to see petracca and alex neal-bullen atop the 'u18s stats' in the stats centre (i have fantasy coach, hence i can see it).

In my case, I will buy a meal and a bottle of red at the "G" so same cost just different venue/ Also at the pub I don't have to listen to commentary as they generally have League on another screen so have the sound off.

In 2012 I got the $50 spots Foxtel package, it was pretty good but after 12 month they wanted me to start paying full price for the sports channels so I cancelled it and got afl live for my iPad and iPhone.

Best $90 any afl lover can spend!! every game live and replyed by demand, even if its on a small screen I still get to watch the action.

Get Apple TV and stream it from your iPad to your tv.

There are other ways to do it with cables but Apple TV is wireless and simple.

ET - read the first post in this thread?

I haven't had any problems.

Just update the software on your tv as well.

I do apologise for not reading the OP in it's entirety. What would I do without you Sue?

http://mobile.pcadvisor.co.uk/how-to/apple/3510597/how-connect-ipad-tv-wireless/ this worked for me prior to Apple TV.

ET old chum, I wasn't asking for an apology, just wondering if you had read it. Remember my ? and that read and read mean slightly different things depending on how you pronounce them....

I'm pretty sure I have the latest software updates.

So are you getting it to work using AppleTV with airplay? Doesn't seem possible according to Telstra, nor the many complaints in the iTunes reviews:

The Ts and Cs do not permit AirPlay:

http://www.afl.com.au/livepass/telstra-terms-and-conditions

"Airplay: Airplay Mirroring and any form of external video output of streamed content is not permitted and is not provided as part of any AFL Live Pass.

"Telstra’s agreement with the AFL restricts the display of live match videos to the current screen size. Match highlights and match replays are available for viewing in full screen size."

There's way around it..

Obviously won't go into it on this forum.

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
