Obviously 'unofficial'. Saw them too. Half in their private training clothes. The Russian was there, as was Grimes, working with the young guys. Tappy, McKenzie and Pickles all there too.

Hopefully this indicates that they see the added importance of showing up to day one of preseason fitter than they've ever been.

Good on them. Obviously the new found professionalism is rubbing off on the playing group. Big year this year. Roos has already promised a bloody hard preseason.

Very interesting.

Tapscott would be close to be delisted in the next two days but can be delisted for the next lodgement before the draft. I will buy nothing more than a couple of weeks. They may be looking at the Rookie List.

Evans (Pickles) might survive due to an inability to get someone in the PSD and also the fact that he is contracted for next year.

I'm pretty sure I saw spencer and another player last Wednesday doing a whole heap of laps with a couple of coaches looking on too.

Agree.

Have a feeling Tappy might be delisted and then rookied like Jetta was this year.

He, of all of those ooc has the most ability in my view. He's just so damn injury riddled.

I hope Roos gives him one more chance and he gets a run at a full pre-season, and finds a set role to come into.

We've had enough injury riddled players to last a lifetime.

Not hard enough at it for mine.

Spoke to Kurt Tippett this morning . he was doing some boxing training down the beach. He likes what the MFC are doing and is also not happy that Hawthorn got Frawley as you can imagine.

Now if thats not the pot calling the kettle black than I dont know what is!!

My favourite time of the year.

I just hope I don't fall over at the first hurdle (sorry 1st round)

I wish them well, keep your eye on Peta Christie (if you are a 40yo male)

Her dad used to play for Caaaarlton back in the 60's

They have contracts for next year, so it's faux shock.

    TRAINING: Monday 11th November 2024

Veteran Demonland Trackwatchers Kev Martin, Slartibartfast & Demon Wheels were on hand at Gosch's Paddock to kick off the official first training session for the 1st to 4th year players with a few elder statesmen in attendance as well. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Beautiful morning. Joy all round, they look like they want to be there.  21 in the squad. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. The first round draft pick at #13 from twelve months ago the strongly built medium forward has had an impressive introduction to AFL football and is expected to spend more midfield moments as his career progresses.
