God I love trade period.

So many rumours and so much BS.

Will be glad when its over and we know who the hell is coming to us.

The rumours are based on other rumours that Tex Walker is seriously considering a move to us, really seems like something might be brewing

No chance

If the crows lose Walker and Dangerfield Adelaide will go into meltdown.

The LA riots will look like nothing!!

It wold be awesome!!

Did I miss something about Tex & Danger wanting out?

Makes the Simon Goodwin appointment suddenly very, very interesting. Similarly the Vince acquisition. All dominoes falling into place now?

Adelaide FC takeover of MFC???

I'd prefer Sloan to Danger for some reason that I can't explain, I guess I feel like he is the man behind the scenes making Danger look that bit better. Don't get me wrong Danger is a freak, but I'd prefer Sloan. Won't happen though :(

We had our chance with Sloane in the draft and screwed him over.

He turned us down last year and we've moved on it seems.

You missed little - mostly a snowball effect of bullshyt rumours.

But according to GNF we are chasing Dangerfield hard as expected.

Oh really? here's another garbage post-draft club bashing is it? Let me guess, you knew all along didn't you! Take it to the Whines lounge, pal

The timing of the Cameron to Crows and Dangerfield to Demons rumors is interesting. Could we see a 3 way trade of picks and players?

Which of the two players would Roos be more likely to bring in?

From a member of staff at the dees; the rumors about Melbourne going hard after Dangerfield are 100% true.

Pick 1 and 2 are being discussed.

Not saying that it will happen but Melbourne are giving it every chance.

It kind of puts some of the pieces together. I'd doubt Roos doesn't also think SG is a good coach, but it's definitely added incentive.

Adelaide shot their salary policy to pieces in the Tippett deal and the way they handled the Vince trade.

Didn't realise we had picks 1 and 2.

Maybe meant our first and second pick, so 2 and 21?

Apologies, 2 and 3

Apologies, 2 and 3

I might be biased but seems like a very high price to pay. Would hope they would send their first rounder back to us if that eventuated.

Danger, Pick 10 --> Demons

Pick 2&3 --> Crows

Depends how the crows sees this draft really and if pick 3 is any better than pick 10. It's probably too far weighted in our favour actually. Maybe give them our second rounder as well.

IN: Danger, Pick 10,

OUT: Pick 2, Pick 3, Pick 21

Hmmm, still don't think they would be happy. I just want to see us still have a selection in the 1st rounder to keep bringing in quality young talent.

I agree. He's more consistent, does the 1%ers, very well rounded player.

Where as in my eyes, patty can do some incredible things, but isn't as consistent atm.

    It’s Game Day, and the Demons return to the MCG wounded, undermanned and desperate. Still searching for their first win of the season, Melbourne faces a daunting task against the Fremantle Dockers. With key pillars missing at both ends of the ground, the Dees must find a way to rise above the adversity and ignite their season before it slips way beyond reach. Will today be the spark that turns it all around, or are we staring down the barrel of a 0–6 start?

  • PREVIEW: Fremantle

    A month is a long time in AFL football. The proof of this is in the current state of the two teams contesting against each other early this Saturday afternoon at the MCG. It’s hard to fathom that when Melbourne and Fremantle kicked off the 2025 season, the former looked like being a major player in this year’s competition after it came close to beating one of the favourites in the GWS Giants while the latter was smashed by Geelong to the tune of 78 points and looked like rubbish. Fast forward to today and the Demons are low on confidence and appear panic stricken as their winless streak heads towards an even half dozen and pressure mounts on the coach and team leadership.  Meanwhile, the Dockers have recovered their composure and now sit in the top eight. They are definitely on the up and up and look most likely winners this weekend against a team which they have recently dominated and which struggles to find enough passages to the goals to trouble the scorers. And with that, Fremantle will head to the MCG, feeling very good about itself after demolishing Richmond in the Barossa Valley with Josh Treacy coming off a six goal haul and facing up to a Melbourne defence already without Jake Lever and a shaky Steven May needing to pass a fitness test just to make it onto the field of play.
