Would love to see a poll answered by all demonlanders on who would have Watts in their 22. There would obviously be few, but how few is what I'm interested in. I would be one of the few (for now).

B: Garland Dunn Jetta

HB: Toumpas McDonald Malceski

C: Vince Jones Trengove

HF: Watts Dawes Viney (tackle and learn to crumb)

F: Howe Hogan JKH

R: Gawn Tyson Salem

Int: Michie Cross Petracca/Brayshaw

As i notice that you don't have a sub, i would make Watts the sub

The sad thing is that all of these attempts at selecting a viable 2015 team reek of same old same old.. we're doomed for 10 years if we're relying on the likes of Dawse, Garland, Watts , Grimes,, Howe , and others to suddenly become consistent and effective footballers .

We've seen years and years of the same rubbish from the same people ,to know that they're not EVER going to be up to it!

B: Jetta, McDonald, Garland
HB: Howe, Dunn, Malceski
C: Vince, Viney, Shiel
HF: Casboult, Hogan, Kent
F: JKH, Dawes or Pedo, Salem
FOLL: Gawn, N.Jones, Tyson
I/C: Trengove, Petracca, Cross, Toumpas (sub)

Malceski traded in for Grimes.

Shiel and 3rd round pick brought in with Frawley compo.

Watts for Casboult.

Petracca taken with first draft pick. Stretch taken as F/S in second round.

Backing Trengove and Toumpas to get over their injuries, have a full preseason, and cement a spot as the year goes on.

Geez I'd be surprised if Watts would get Casboult from a team that needs Casboult.

B: Jetta McDonald Howe

HB: Toumpas Dunn ??

C: Vince N Jones Viney

HF: Kent Dawes ??

FF: JKH Hogan Pedersen

R: Gawn Tyson Cross

I: Watts Salem ?? ??

I'm backing Toumpas in for half-back. We need someone who can actually kick the ball coming off half-back and instead of going looking for one elsewhere I want to back us in to get Toumpas into that role. No certainty, obviously. The other half-back is missing.

Pedersen to play third tall forward and second ruck. Jamar's past it and I see enough in Gawn for him to take over.

I don't have Garland or Grimes in the side. Not convinced either of them is worthy of a spot. They may slot into that empty half-back spot, or we may bring someone in to take that.

We also need someone else rotating mid/forward, plus another two midfielders. Trengove may be that mid/forward, which I'd be happy with, but we'll wait and see on that. Michie might be another mid on the bench, but again not sure.

    GOLDIE'S METTLE by Meggs

On a perfect night for football at the home of the Redlegs, Norwood Oval, it was the visiting underdogs Melbourne who led all night and hung on to prevail in a 2-point nail-biter. In the previous round St Kilda had made it a tough physical game to help restrict Adelaide from scoring and so Mick Stinear set a similar strategy for his team. To win it would require every player to do their bit on the field plus a little bit of luck.  Fifty game milestoner Sinead Goldrick epitomised

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play
