Thats why we are experts- I was completely underwhelmed by his kicking - that's because I saw a different video package. If you watch the package early on in this thread you will be unimpressed.

Well..I wasnt overly enamoured with Benny Boys highlights either but Port fans are spitting chips and our FD is grinning so what the do I know :) ( from just watching vids that is..lol )

I saw some good kicking and some very decent tackling ( actuallu clever tackling ) in and amongst Petyraccas reels.

Id be pretty happy if it was he and Brayshaw called out..having said that the gods will probably arrange something entirely different !!..as they do

I'll be happy when in the near future we say "geez - wasn't he a good draft pick" ( like I am saying about Tyson). Until that time I won't get excited by any name called out.

a few months ago I said if the MFC get Petracca we can use phrases like

Watch out for the Petraccattack

Just reminding everyone I made up that word and I own the copyright to it

Dear god.

I wouldn't worry, I think you're copyright is very safe.

looks like these 2 fellas aren't quite ready for the Petracattack

They are Petrified.

Are we going with Braytracca or Petrashaw?

He's a carbon copy of... dare I say it... Colin Sylvia.

Didnt know Sylvia played Basketball.

Can we say players were "Petraccambushed" or is that just too silly?

Like player X was petraccambushed, the petraccasssailant used a petraccattack?

I was looking forward to paddy and the hulk but we do need midfield talent.

Except he's not a [censored].

It's clear he is self driven. Something Sylvia never was.

The fact he is confident in his ability is a positive.

Landing Petracca and Brayshaw under our current FD format and environment will, in my eyes, be the break we've been longing for.

It's time.

I'll humour you HH. Not bad.

The only bigger break would be if we were given the PP that we deserved and we could granb Wright as well!

I'd agree.

I wasn't talking in terms of personality.

But he's not a leader either.

And I think that might count against him for St Kilda.

He might not be a leader but he can grow into one. Everyone is a leader in their own right. Adam Cooney was a smartass and cocky kid whk was always getting kicked out of his school classes for being a [censored]. Went on to win a charlie.

Jack Darling Dustin Martin weren't leaders in their junior days. It hasn't stopped them to become bloody good players. What they are though are driven individuals who lead by actions and thats all Petracca has to be.

But hey il take him if saints dont rate his leadership! :-D

maybe petracca was the player whose room was too neat.

my goodness, i really hope we don't pass on him in favour of lever...

It would be such a Melbourne thing to do.

Yeah I think thats going beyond the joke there.

Seriously since when does having a messh room effect your footballing ability.

Sorry but I must be the only one who think thats a bit too extreme.

I have just watched again and he doesn't hit a target by foot in that footage bar kicking goals.

I have no doubt he is a gun, however, I just haven't seen him hit targets by foot in the limited footage I have seen and the above link doesn't disprove that.

Ok, try this then.

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.

The Demons simply did not take their opportunities when they presented themselves and ultimately when down by 25 points effectively ending their finals chances. Goal kicking practice during the Bye?
