Was there a player review this week?

I can understand if there wasn't.

I don't know how Strauss went but it's disappointing he doesn't look like getting a go this year particularly as he seemed to be part of Roos plans during pre-season. In the sessions I saw he was a stand out but unfortunately it hasn't translated to senior footy. I wonder if he's delisted if we'll rookie him in the hope of "getting another Jetta".

I don't think it's a case of if he's delisted, but when.

I'd be very surprised if a sixth-year player who has not been good enough to play a game in the seniors all year gets another contract on the senior list.

Whether he gets re-rookied remains to be seen; I wouldn't have thought there's much point as we just haven't seen anywhere near enough from him over the years (including this one) to suggest there is a future there.

Really disappointing.

Skills have always been his strength, but clearly his other areas have not improved one iota.

What happened to the kid who started to show some defensive tenacity immediately before breaking his leg?

Going by the player review, I'd be very surprised if Terlich gets another game - but I can't wait for James Harmes to be elevated off the rookie list (it will happen)!

I think it's more about having higher expectations of Terlich.

Some of the others I think they have given up on.

Especially someone like Strauss.

No player's future is ever decided on one single game. Col Garland would have been delisted after his debut if it was, because it was a shocker. What if Terlich gets 45 touches and kicks 5 goals in the VFL next week?

I think the more apt question is "what if Terlich shuts down his opponent next week?"

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

    Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval.     With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.
