As I said at the start of the year...there's only about 8 AFL level players I wld. other with perservering with from the present list. Roos has also killed off any confidence the group may have had after his "teach them how to play AFL, club is strapped for cash" etc comments a few weeks back. Watching a little of the trianing in the week leading up to the Dockers match, they looked rudderless and that is how theyve played since. Roos is the coach.... he is there to get them up each week but atm failing badly.

Not much on the park to work with but hasn't helped his cause of late and is in danger of losing most of the group.

Stating the obvious but massive clean out looming at years end

If this list can't develop and improve under Roos they deserve to go under. Honestly, there's not a single man who could do a better job than Roosy. It's up to the players now.

I think they learnt their lesson from Brock Mclean.

I'd have rathered McLean over Gysberts though - we all thought we got an absolute bargain. God, hindsight is a terrible thing.

If only we had a side full of blokes with the effort and endeavour that Pedersen plays with!! For a big bloke gees he works and chases hard.

If Roosy has lost the players then they can all leave now.

I have had a gutfull of these players being paid the same amount as their opponents.

Skill, decision making & spread running is just shocking.

And Casey are being done by Bendigo.

WE NEED OUR OWN SECONDS TEAM.

I would normally agree with you and ive been a Roos stalwart from day one...but no matter what level you coach...no matter the team sport .... the worst thing you can tell any player is "you cant play" which is effectively what he said in the presser. You might think that... you might give a spray to relevant player/s and/or constructive criticism, but you never actually come out and say that to them.

Massive confidence sapper and thats exactly what we're seeing. A team completely devoid of any confidence with a few usual die hards giving their all as its in their blood to not lie down (eg Viney)

Played three really bad games this year guys. Most of you wanted to sack Pedersen and Dunn last year. Get behind your team it's not going to happen overnight.

No, it's not going to happen with this batch of players.

What happened to the 'players need a cuddle philosophy'?

Nicholson had his papers stamped after one game.. Reckon Tapscotts not far behind him. He literally does nothing

Forgetting the poor effort, skills and umpiring - if you can - don't underestimate the impact theses Darwin games have on us. As good as 4-6 losses. Look at the results the week after Darwin - Collingwood 33 points, we were terribly slow and kicked 3 goals and today. We are physically and mentally tired. Just saying!

The time for excuses is surely over. We've been dishing up nonsense excuses like this getting close to almost a decade now.

Other teams travel every other week and still find a way to win a decent share of games both at home and consecutive "away" games. The basic factor here is what Old Dee reminds us every other week.... the majority on the list is just not AFL capable. Most are VFL standard at best.

Tom Harley is the most beige colored, vanilla flavored, AFL yes man of a commentator in history.

Even in a game so poorly umpired he has agreed with every decision, the more blatant the bad call the more adamant the yes that was clearly there.

His special comments have only added to the pain of the day, [censored] of the highest order.

We played in Alice springs prior to the collingwood game where the temp was bout 18 degrees.. Bit different to darwin where it's 30+ during the day and is around 25 during the game

Im dying to know what positives will be taken out of this game

Only mitigating factor is coming back from Darwin. Irksome that we have to do it financially. It always seems to sap the energy

This cannot be used as an excuse. We did not even put in an effort last week and were on holidays. We should be fresher but week on week we look so unfit.

He's a paid up apologist/spruiker for the AFL/Umpiring fraternity. So bland and predictable, I dont actually hear or take in anything he says anymore.

Was a good leader and solid player on field but as a special comments guy he completely sucks
