Idgaf what draft picks we get, I want them all traded off.

This club has nfi in terms of picking good 'uns.

Hey od, I used two acronyms in one post - I'm on fire, son!

Well, three....if you count your username....

What's your thoughts on Salem, IMO he is a good pick.

I think a lot need to stop comparing the new regime with the post 2013 regime

judging on recent events earl, maybe the little league would be more fertile fields, eh?

The three jacks are a failed experiment. We need to move them on. Its unfortunate but to continue with these boys is a mistake and will ensure our continuing failure as an AFL team. Ad to that Frawley, Jamar and the way Garland is going him as well. Massive clean out needed but probably wont happen. More pain to follow dees fans.

Somewhere I've heard this before.....

Is that you Neeldy?

Bitter but optimistic; we'd make a good couple

It all depends on what "the lads" think. Biffen wanted to visit the estate , but when the lads saw him from a distance mind you they started honking and crashing into fences etc. The point is Frost, you look more a pervert than Biffen - so go figurel.

You two need to get into the real world. I already told you Frosty is a pervert. Leave normal blokes like me alone!

haven't seen biffen he's to scared to show his face.

Moonshadow its not Neeldy, do you still think the two jacks are going to take us to the promised land?

Guys you are right it isn't an easy fix. I just believe that when a player has had five or more years and isn't producing consistently he should be seriously considered for trade. We also should only bring in real footballers. There are plenty out there and with Roosys collateral he should be able to attract more. This years recruiting was good and our draft picks look promising. We have to be bold and do the same and better for next year. Unfortunately this means being bold in who we get rid of. Fortune favours the brave.

true normally, but our past 10 years isn't normal. and our inability to develop players for well for over 15 years is the issue.

now with the new team of coaches we have to be careful not to throw out the proverbial baby in the bathwater, frosty.

I just wonder if a couple will get rookied?

keep going pennant the rot set in well before 2007 mate. the writing was on the wall, but we had some lazy talent that could win when it suited them. when they worked, we played well. when they felt lazy, we were carp.

a poor culture grew worse.

Indeed Pennant and , sadly, I am beginning to think it is irreparable !!! Just ask OD.

That's not very nice PSD.

I have previously liked you.

Please tell me what there is to like at the MFC and I will bust forth in laughter.

The proof of our pariously state is tonight's games.

Saints double Freo score and GWS run geelong very close.

We have been beaten by both side in the last two weeks by large margins.

And you wonder why I see little joy around the MFC.

Sorry Old Dee it was a bit tongue in cheek. But you see very little improvement in us this year which is very pessimistic

As I said on another post you can not compare results between two other sides

Adelaide belted GWS

Richmond belted GWS & Saints

Carlton lost to the Cats by a few points

Essendon got within 3 points of Hawthorn and beat Port Adelaide at home, made the Pies look second rate last week

It's never ending if you go through all the results

If Roos gets another Vince, Tyson, Cross and Salem, JKH in the draft - maybe we will win more games than we lose.

Getting rid of our senior players won't help us win more.

It did with Sylvia. We have won twice as many....

By my reckoning there are 15 on our list that are candidates for delisting or trading (depending on contract status).

The stats for turnovers are clear. Get rid of all those that continually turn the ball over. They kill confidence. If you look at our stats for the year its turnovers where we are scored most heavily against. Fix that up and we very competitive. A lot of our backline are guilty of this but Grimes, Terlich have to be under serious pressure. Roos got rid of Terlich once. He'll do it again I suspect. Grimes is a such a hard one because he is such a trier and clearly an upstanding bloke but his flaws are very deep.

I have some sympathy because our midfielders don't run and spread enough, That does make it harder for the backline. But guys like Nicho, Terlich and Grimes are consistently bad. I'd actually have McDonald in there as well but he has a lot of other strong credentials and has just been re-signed so is not going anywhere.

Next we have to look at players that can't or won't run. Plenty of those.

Watts lost me last year. He is soft in the xtreme. Skills are excellent but you can't have a player like that who won't run, tackle and cant win a one on one without destroying team ethics.

Frawley has clearly gone. The footy world knows it. He is playing like it. He is worth more to us gone than with us. Tell us now Chip so we can plan.

McKenzie is a one trick pony whose one trick is no longer good. Spencer has been re-signed and I love his attack on the footy but his lack of skills detract seriously from any benefit his mongrel provides.

Evans, Tappy, Strauss, Blease, MJones, FItzy and Clisby have to be gone and along with Byrnes and Clark.

We need mids with skills who can run and defenders who can kick and make decisions under pressure. This all needs fixing before we consider a fwd line. I can't believe how f&^%&^d we are.

BUMP

I think I should just cut and paste this post each week...

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
