There's no disgrace in being beaten by a few goals from a well polished, highly professional outfit, with a great history that is the Suns. Your thoughts.

Posted (edited)

Forget about the score, the worry was the refusal to run, chase, lead, man-up and shepherd.

The Suns should have won by more.

Again, Watts just floats around and is so soft that it's actually embarrassing.

We played poorly and got crucified by the umps and still only lost by 8 points. We can beat a number of teams in the comp this year.

Not all positive. Jack went back to square one. Today we got the disinterested, pea hearted version. There's no sugar coating it. Some of the chase attempts were disgusting.

Need I say more about Jack Watts?

Wish he'd get a long term injury

sucks so bad to lose

But that would have been a 100 point ;loss last year

baby steps

true, but work still to be done at selection, & by the development coaches @ Casey.

still plays like a point guard basketballer.

Jack Watts, you can tackle, & get tackled in this game. Just in case you hadn't realised yet.

oh, & chase; when your opponent is running off with the ball you just coughed up. 'just sayin'.

It's really inspiring that they can give that kind of output without extracting beads of sweat for over 100mins of football...

So 3 out of 4 is a positive result... a credit, indeed (at least it was when I was at Uni). Thank God for the AFL's standardization...

It's currently not positive, but it can be as early as 2015. Yes, sadly my fellow supporters, it's another year over for the demons. Paul Roos, some who would truely think he answeres to 'masih', needs time. Its in my personal opinion Roos should execute a mass killing by October. The following names should be thoes who suvive this exodus: Hogan, N. Jones, Salam, Watts, Toumpass, Dawes, Viney, Trengove, Tyson, McKenzie, Dunn, Cross, Garland, Michie, Vince, JKH, McDonald, Grimes, Gawn, Howe, Fitzpatrick, M.Jones and thoes drafted in 2013.
Simple as that. Trade players with any wealth:
J.Frawley - 1st Round pick

S.Blease - 4th Round pick?

L. Tapscott - pick in 4th round?

Finish 16?

Pick 3: Best midfielder (inside, tough)

Pick in 1-20 (Frawley): Forward backup for Dawes and Hogan

Pick 27ish: Key Defender to replace Frawley's loss

Pick 45ish: Key midfielder

Pick 63ish: Best available

Pick 70ish (Blease): Best available

Pick 70ish (Tapscott): Best available

We need to keep Frawley - if you think we should trade him you're one of the classic MFC supporters who thinks the draft is the answer; it is not. Frawley is actually a big part of the answer.

Who would pay anything for Blease or Tapscott? They can't even develop VFL-level form.

As for the rest, let's leave that kind of discussion until the end of the year.

I just threw up in my mouth a bit.

That happened right in front of me. He is alarmingly fragile in the contest. It's astonishing. And it's not through a lack of strength. He completely disregards the opponent and plays and moves like he's a man playing against under-12s. The guy needs a reality check. VFL reality check.

I really think that video is a bit unfair and a disgrace from us supporters.

He was really bad today, Watts, but that passage of play isn't that bad and it would have happened to 15 others today.

At least he laid a tackle today! We had 5 players notch up a big fat 0 in the T column. People give it to Watts partly because he deserves it, but partly because they're biased. He was not the only player today to play poorly, so why is he the only one to get shamed on YouTube?

Yeah I got that vomit taste too now that you mention it. Jesus what a joke! I am behind words right now, I need to rinse out that taste!!

Because he comes with a higher expectation being a higher draft pick. Like it or not, high draft picks are supposed to have at least good football skills and smarts. I don't see this with Watts but we had the opportunity to trade him and we didn't.

There are no positives. The 2nd Q was a disgrace.

We should have won the game. Now we sit 1-4 with a full strength Swans waiting.

With more gut running and tackles we could have been 2-3.

But we are not.

If you genuinely do not think there are any positives, just give up and leave us all alone WYL. Seriously.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
