Lacking a superstar?

Jones is coming! Watts is a potential superstar. His evasiveness on Saturday took me back to Robbie Flower. Watts seems to do it without exerting effort. All he needs is more confidence to go all the way and start dobbing a few and he'll get SILK! Hogan will be! Wait and see. It's about patience boys!!

What about the Ox, Gary Lyon, Stephen Tingay and Travis Johnstone? Whitey was up there too until they changed the centre bounce rule.

I would say no but this argument has been done a few times before.

To me Flower was the last champion or superstar we have had, I'm talking competition and there are very few of these guys. Right now in the AFL probably Judd and Ablett, Brown maybe are it with a few others on the way.

grouping the highest quality players right now a superstars, i wouldn't even say judd any more dude or brown. for me, Ablett, J selwood and jobe watson off the top of my head.

I don't quite put the rest on the same pedestal personally. theres lots more great players from plenty of clubs though. like fyfe is right on the cusp for me, barlow, pendles, swan, mitchel, theres a massive group of them.

Getting Dangerfield would be massive, but we would need to pay way overs to have any chance

a mil a year plus and we'd have to offer them alot to make the trade happen

T Mac, and our first round pick is enough.

If Judd and another pick went for Josh Kennedy, a first round pick and another pick, I don't see why Danger can't go for a good key back and our first round pick

Superstars to me have shown it over a long period of time. Ablett was and still is, Judd has been and the others you have named are well on the way if not already there.

Unfortunately we haven't had one in a long, long time.

Adelaide might well get Chip as a free agent and not want Tommy, then Danger might sniff a flag at the crows and not want to leave.

If Frawley ends up leaving it will be to somewhere like Geelong or Hawthorn, not Adelaide.

Danger is not going anywhere next year, he's still contracted. The year after he is looking for premiership success not cash, that will come anyway.

Don't be so sure, Adelaide and the Suns have both made offers to his management as far as i know, Hawthorn are also right in the mix but i reckon their senior players getting abit older i'd be more likely to sign with the suns if it was me.

yeh, i think this year, watts and tyson have the potential to get up into that bracket of 'well on their way'.

Same with me, but Frawley seems to me like he wants to stay at MFC but if he goes it'll be like former past players like Sylvia and McLean, instant success.

If he was a little more accurate we'd all be celebrating a win, he was very unlucky on the weekend not to have 30 touches and 3-4 goals and wouldn't the crows love seeing him do that for another side.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
