kieranbj 111 Posted March 21, 2014 Posted March 21, 2014 Any one have any information regarding MFC players available for Casey selection tomorrow. All I have picked up is the Jack Viney is likely to line up for the Scorps again. Anyone planning on doing the Casey/Dees double header?
KC from Casey 7,213 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Development League: Port Melbourne 20.4.124 too strong for Casey Scorpions 7.4.46. Newcomer Joe Fisscher kicked 3 goals.
KC from Casey 7,213 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 The Scorpions have a young development league team this year (25 new players) and will struggle for depth. I suspect that lack of cash resources to recruit name players to the senior team is going to affect that aspect and it's playing list will suffer for it. They'll be hoping Melbourne doesn't have a long injury list this year.
Matt Demon 1,597 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 How many Melbourne listed players are playing with Casey today?
KC from Casey 7,213 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 At quarter time Port Melbourne lead 4.4.28 to Casey Scorpions 3.1.19 with Dom Barry, Tim Smith and Max Gawn the goal kickers. Will Petropoulos is playing well for the home side.
gsmith12 491 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Who else other than Barry and Gawn from the senior lists are playing please?
Wiseblood 24,637 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 According to Twitter the Scorps played a very good second quarter and lead 7.5.47 to 4.5.29. Gawn, Blease, Best and Petropolous have been the best of the first half.
KC from Casey 7,213 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 The Casey Scorpions dominated the second quarter to lead 7.5.47 to Port Melbourne 4.5.29. I'm working today and am relaying scores via SMS from a mate at the ground. I'm off interstate for two months and won't be providing reports until early June.
Demonland 74,547 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 According to the Scorpions Facebook page: Cracker contest at Casey fields. At three quarter time The borough 7-11-53 leading the scorps 7-7-49. Mitch gent had a good quarter for Casey. Troy Davis rock solid in defence also. Blease wowing the crowds with his run and Salem good by foot as usual.
KC from Casey 7,213 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Three quarter time and Port led by four points but a goal to Tappy puts the Scorps in front followed by one to Jayden Hunt. The lead is 9 points.
Demonland 74,547 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Their report at halftime said "Blease providing plenty of dash on a wing. Gawn has a couple of majors and jake best good at half forward."
LeBron James 41 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Always thought Petropolous seemed to be a good young player. Any chance to be rookied by an AFL team one day?
KC from Casey 7,213 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Scorps win after a Neville Jetta goal with a minute to go. Casey Scorpions 3.1.19 7.5.47 7.7.49 11.8.74 Port Melbourne 4.4.28 4.5.29 7.11.53 10.11.71 Goals Gawn 2 Barry Best Blease Hunt Jetta King Salem Smith Tapscott Best Evans Jetta Blease Clisby Gawn Salem
The Song Formerly Known As 6,479 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Their report at halftime said "Blease providing plenty of dash on a wing. Gawn has a couple of majors and jake best good at half forward." Too late to have him jog over to Etihad Stadium?
Demonland 74,547 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Apparently Port had a kick for goal after the siren and kicked it out on the full.
SaberFang 7,151 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Apparently Port had a kick for goal after the siren and kicked it out on the full. Whoever had the kick will get an icy reception in the change rooms.
Lil_red_fire_engine 11,394 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Would like to know how Hunt moved? Fast
Return to Glory 8,530 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 I left myself open. How did he play?
DeeZee 7,496 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Someone said on twitter that Blease was starring, and Gawn played a great game.
RalphiusMaximus 6,112 Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Good result given the lack of real forward in the side. Last year they had Hogan and Fitz dominating for much of the season.
