Demons season opener v Saints

Yet to see anything from Dawes to get excited about in the red & blue. I'm hoping he will look better with Hogan / Clarke in the team, but until either of those two are back I really couldn't care less when he is set to play.

Misson admitted that they rushed him back too early last year and he suffered beacuse of this. I still think he can be a good player for us.

He is really good at playing the second fiddle forward, he runs hard, creates space for the other forwards, and is smart, knows how to drag his opponent out of the play

Not to mention he can split a pack in two. Even if he doesnt mark it he can rag doll the opposition out of the contest and let JKH gather it.

I thought Dawes was fantastic in the games I saw, given he was being fed by a non existent mid field. His work rate was inspirational. He would run to the wing on a lead and then run back chasing a kick. He is a genuine power forward and provides leadership through example. His injury is a worry but I am confidently anticipating big things from him given our new midfield. Any two of Dawes, Clark and Hogan on the field at once will give us targets we haven't had for years.

he's played in 3 grand finals vs Hogan's zero afl games fcs

what is fcs again C and B?

Well hopefully they've peaked too early, because quite frankly I can't stand them.

Yep and they're only 1 flag from equalling us on the premiership ladder and bundling us out of the top 4.

Dave Mission just said that there is a good chance Hogan, Dawes, Jamar, Gawn and Taspcott are a chance to be right for round 1 and Clark and Garland are tracking well, some positive news if it's factual

Why do they do this to us. Just be quiet go along and don't say they'll be back until they're back.

He is pleading for the sake of our Lord and Saviour.

Good question OD. I've heard that -followed by "FO !" after giving a tap on the shoulder in the marital bed.

Don't know Bbo I am not up with all the new aberrations.

One of the yougees is sure know!

On thanks rpfc I had the thought it was something a little more sinister but I am obviously wrong.

When did we last beat st Kilda? When did we last win at docklands?

This would be my side

B L: Georgiou - Frawley - Terlich

H B: Grimes - McDonald - Dunn

C L: Watts - Tyson - Cross

H F: Michie - Fitzpatrick - Trengove

F L: Howe - Pedersen- Kennedy - Harris

Foll: Spencer - Vince - N.Jones

I/C: Clisby - Bail - Toumpus Sub: Viney

Emerg: MJones - Mckenzie - Nicholson

The only change I would have would be Dawes for Pedersen.

Will be an absolute [censored] fight i think.. The saints have no midfield and we have no forward line..

I agree re Dawes. If both Dawes and Clark are in the same side it would almost be like the days of Nieta and ox!

Throw in howe and kennedy-harris and theres almost abit of Lyon and Farmer.. Haha if only!!

Reckon we will see a repeat OD of Cats 08 & Pies 11. They are going to be very strong for early to late part of the season and will look invincable for a lot of the year.

I believe one of the other contenders will build as the year goes on and win it

Hawks look like they could be this years Essendon of 2000

or 2001

Schneider ruled out for round one.

It could go either way - either they will be completely rudderless, or a pack of enthusiastic kids who have nothing to lose.
