Do you think I need to pre-purchase vistors passes for this saturday night Cats v Hawks? or just rock up on the night? obviously as a melb supporter this issue doesn't come up much!

MCC site says expected crowd of 80,000.

The only reason I ask is because of annoying non-commital people who are deciding on the day if they are going.

cheers

Pre-purchase wouldn't you.

Good question it's been so long since I've been to a game that I've needed to by a visitor pass for and to be concerned about.

If in doubt either call the MCC or tweet them.

As a side note I went to the Rich v StK game and the members reserved had a completely different feel about it. Much less wine sales much more hot chips sales. Much less scarves a lot more kids in weird track suits and otherwise unattractive people. I'd like to congratulate Melbourne supporters on not just being better than everyone but also appearing much more hygienic.

Check the Category Game - If it's an 'A' Game which is my guess they will only offer a very small amount of guest passes and about one per member

I think only Anzac Day and Queens Birthday are category A games - this one is a category B.

If you're referring to guest passes that get you in to the MCC reserve as whole, then you could comfortably buy them on the night at the gate. I've been to the last few Hawks/Cats games at the G with Hawthorn mates and have never needed to pre-purchase their guest passes. Balcony or long room passes on the other hand you would definitely need to pre-book for this size game, and I can see on the MCC site that they have already been fully allocated.

Hope that helps.

You should be right I reckon cob, very rarely can you not get tickets at the gate.. I will be buying them at the gate.

If people can't decide until the day that's their problem.. They can miss out..

thanks all, you have generally confirmed my original thoughts

catfishpig: the philosophy of 'that's your problem' is usually heavily unsuccessful when applied to those of the female variety. Such a strategy often results in the severe busting of balls.

Rock up on the night! I have never pre-bought tickets for the"G" and you can always get in, even for Grand Final Day. Worst case, you might have to sit up in the gods or wear a jacket and tie and watch it from the Members Bar!

Simple - give them the "I need to know now, as I need to pre-purchase the tickets cos they'll sell out."

Don't give them the option of waiting and getting them on the night.

Then you have the answer you need.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
