I disagree, although totally see your point about tackling etc.

I think Watts could be a great choice in the midfield, although we'd be exposed if he didn't get his hands on the footy.

However, wouldn't you say that size (including bulk), speed, skills (precise disposal) and vision are in fact the perfect skill set for a midfield ballwinner?

It's all good and well if he's going to do the defensive running and tackling and just as importantly be the most important bit of a ball winner and actually win the ball!

The oppositions best players play in the midfield by and large. If Watts is in the centre square he has to work hard enough defensively to limit one of Dal Santo, Montagna, Steven or Armitage just to name a few. If he's on a wing he's up against Farren Ray which might be a better match.

The other thing about Watts as I eluded to is that consistency has been one of his biggest problems. So if we all say we were happy with his effort against the pies in the first half as a half forward then why change it?

I have read this entire post and a similiar one at ology and you are the first person that has pointed out the obvious.

Jamar is a complete waste of space that just gets in every ones way. Would be glad to see Spencer ruck out the rest of the year. At least he is still youngish and actually has a red hot go. Can also be highly amusing at times.

This is a game St Kilda should win, but for the first time in four weeks I feel as though we are not without a chance. It feels a lot better going to the footy knowing that there is that chance, unlike most games this year where you just turn up waiting for a massacre.

Even though we are 1-10, in shocking form and without key players, I feel as though this week is a really important game for us. After the week we've had we really need the players to stand up and be competitive against a fairly ordinary opposition.

A win would be sensational but I'm not expecting it. A solid four quarter competitive performance would be really good for the players, supporters and the club after what's happened this year.

Only 85 problems such as his lack of work rate, lack of physicality, poor tackling and general lack of desire to win a clearance but besides from that it should be ok.

Watts skill set - nice size, decent speed, skills and vision make him a loose ball out in space player. So that means half forward or half back. He's failed at half back, if we still with him at half forward we might get somewhere.

This weeks lets the boys start the year again fresh. forget the past get out there and playing competitive football. Would rather see fitzy playing full forward instead of on the bench, we loose too much around the ground with sylvia up forward. I think this is perhaps one of best chances at a win this year.

They have won only. 2 games .. If we have any ability at all despite our "injuries" we should be highly competitive against them.. They have a few outs as well.. Are we so bad we cannot compete against a team with only one win more than us ?? Err ..maybe yes .. hopefully not..

Anyway as I was saying, Viney will need to make sure he looks after himself better otherwise he will be spending lots of time on the sidelines. Missed a large chunk of time last year and again this year. Another 2 years like this and it could impact his development.
