WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - PAUL ROOS

Featured Replies

Since we did a hardware upgrade a few months ago the site's hardly blinked, even with Neeld happening and so on. You can never be 100% sure but I'm pretty damn confident you can all do your worst at slamming the site and it'll hold up.

Oh, you are going to have a good day aren't you!

Probably a Roos announcement and then the proof of a recent software upgrade withstanding all the use that will be generated.

I'm a non-technical BA, Nasher, but I know that feel bro.

Enjoy it.

Roos set to be announced today. The whole waiting till tuesday was a gimmick. The family had already discussed over family dinner he would coach.

Yes, well really it was another ploy to buy time until he's ready to announce it.

A shorter game version of his "I'm not interested... at the moment" when he'd long ago decided to look into it long & hard.

and the dinner it was discussed over occurred months ago !!!

Why Walsh would be a big pick up as well, no Roos but could Beverly important long term.

I want whatever it is you're on!

mate theres a hell of a lot of banana lovers out there :)

While Denham can eat of bag, I am relying on the Bandwagoners to pay for Roos.

WELCOME LOST DEMONS!!

THE G DOES LOOK DIFFERENT DOESN'T IT? IT WAS RECENTLY REVAMPED...SEVERAL YEARS AGO...

NO, I AM AFRAID THAT BROCK McLEAN DOES NOT PLAY FOR MELBOURNE ANYMORE...

BUT THERE ARE MANY PLAYERS OF REASONABLE TALENT TO WATCH!

ENJOY!

How's Barry Ough tracking ?

I've been stockpiling GIFs for the announcement, hurry up already.

Fer Christ's sake...announce the damn thing. This purgatory is killing me.

Guessing there may be a few avatar changes in the next couple of hours ;)

Tender hooks accompanied by extra large thumbs not designed for smart phones..

and user id changes too ...me thinks lol

Only 30 pages to catch T$ B$ thread, and already over twice as many views.

Reckon by 6pm we'll have caught it.

Come on! Don't be so logical! This thread didn't get to 200 pages due to people being logical!

absolutely!

we havent been logical about Roos for months now and guess what he is most likely going to be our coach.

So us being illogical has ended up in the eventuality of Paul Roos being our coach!

we demonlanders must influence the decision of Roos?

Tender hooks accompanied by extra large thumbs not designed for smart phones..

FYI - "tenterhooks"

(Had to look it up myself just to make sure I wasn't getting it wrong)

Funny..I was just going to write something about the 'worst kept secret in footy " but in many ways its been the best kept one.. and at MELBOURNE !!! fmd this place is changing !! -_-

There's actually 888 on the site now.

Most ever online at once was 1407 in November 2012.

lucky lucky lucky

A bit of good news. Actual GOOD news. We're like seagulls to a chip.

My work will be done with this one...

To all intensive purposes, the entire Demonland patronage may be on tenderhooks in one foul swoop.

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
