One thing next year will mean all bad results are purely on the players. Roos has the runs on the board. He could easily explain at a press conference that the playing group are spuds and we will all nod and agree as well as the media. Are you sure you want that Mr Watts? The days of being unsure if our coach is any good are over.

We know the players are spuds, Craig has expressed that without showing cruelty, PR needs draft assistance and the list turned over, he knows whats required hes been watching this basket case all season, hes got a big job ahead but im upgrading my family memberships immediately if he gets a gig.

Nathan Jones would still play just as well if I was coaching him. That is his character. Watts wants to hide behind not being developed right and looked after. There might be something to it but 2014 is the time for no more hiding.

And if he cannot perform now we can, as a club, move him on knowing we have done our best

Yep. Watts is a scapegoat for this list. He has talent but seems to be missing a piece in the puzzle. WIth Roos no one will question the coach. Malthouse at Carlton is the perfect example. Ratten had the blues in the same position last year and got the ass. Now the playing list is being looked over and talk of a re build is happening. How many times have we questioned Bailey/Neeld and Co? Roos gives us time, respect and a place in the toughest sporting market in the country. Our players would love the feeling that they are being thought of first. It's about winning games from here on out. Thank you PJ. We as members don't want blazers, heritage or whiteboard wednesday's. WE WANT WINS!

First order of business: Tell Jack Watts he can't have players under his command that have a non-committal attitude, and as such he will be traded for the best midfielder available

Second order of business: Appoint Nathan Jones captain with Grimes and Trengove as his VCs.

For the life of me, I cannot understand those who want to pour cold water on this. Great news is great news. I'm sure they're will be plenty of opportunities to have a whine down the track. But ffs, let's have some cheer when it's been so lacking. Go Dees.

In the event we are left standing at the altar waiting....... we reserve the right to be skeptical until he arrives... but this is looking more liklely by the minute.

I know it is just a coach and it doesn't mean over night success. But we have been down and out. Jurrah, energy watch,tanking,schwabb,Bailey,186,Scully,Stynes(RIP),2012-13 on field. Man it feels good to support this team today.

If that is true I couldn't care less. Although, I suspect you'd give me a run for my money if it was the case.

Btw, not that you're smart enough to realise, my post wasn't a shot at you. I'm not invested in the emotions of any poster on Demonland and aren't sure why others would be, hence the question.

But yeah, you're too thick to realise.

I think we all know that, mjt, but this time there's a bloke in charge (nearly) who's been there.

Hang in there.

He knows how to build the ultimate dream.

Neither Grimes or Trengove should be Vice Captains at the moment.

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best.
