Surprisingly upbeat from you Joeboy. Not that I disagree. As I keep saying, that was about the best 95 point loss I've ever seen.

Bit harsh on Trengove, I feel he is actually starting to hit some form. Today he had 16 touches and 7 tackles, not bad and that is improving from week to week.

They didn't have to worry. nobody could kick to him. One of the few times someone spotted him in space they lobbed a high up-and-under on his head and allowed three Hawks to close in and smash him.

I agree with that. Never thought I would feel that way after a 16 goal loss, but there you go.

Great effort by J Mac. Kept an inform Mitchell who has been over the past 3 games averaging 15 kicks, 34 disposals, and a goal to a relatively quiet 8 kicks, 24 disposals and nothing on the score board.

One of the highlights for me today. Good on him.

His kicking and decision making can be poor but you always know you are going to get 100% from J Mac.

I love Joely Mac just for his attack on the pill and have been saying for a while he should be played as a defensive half forward.

The reasons being not only he works his backside off to beat his man one on one but his kicking and decision making won't hurt us so much if he is putting it forward rather than clearing from defence.

I think he offers a lot more there than Dunn and his wannabe agro.

JMac is really important to our list because he sets an example on the field for competitiveness. With Dawes, Garland and N Jones setting benchmarks for competitiveness, players like Terlich, Howe, M Jones and Evans improving and with Silvia, Grimes, Byrnes and Clark coming back Im feeling much better about our team for the second half of the season.

The inclusion of each AFL standard player will have a massive impact to our onfield performance.

It was a great effort but how sad is it that 3 or 4 of our players are playing "shut down/run with" roles every week. Jones is the only bloke opposition teams have to tag and honestly Sewell showed today that it's just as affective going head to head.

Untill we have at least 3 or 4 players for other teams to worry about we will be chasing tail from the first bounce.

I am finally starting to see the game plan of the MFC.It is to get toally smashed in the first two quarters so as to catch the other team off guard in the second half. Just need a little more fitness in the four quarter and we should have them.

I so loved the 51 point comeback against Fremantle in 2008 and just know they team can do better given the chance.

Loved how Buddy was contained. Also there are a few players who did show they can play, but its always hard to judge when the team gets totally outplayed in so many positions.

Thought Fitzy was terrible, for a bloke trying to prove himself, fumbly, couldnt take a mark, turned the ball over, shocking.
