James Sellar's AFL career has mere minutes left...

I actually thought we were improving :(

Sorry Neeldy, it's an elite sports industry and we are an absolute joke.

The fact that Viney - an eighteen year old - hast he most disposals and clearances for the dees is a total and utter disgrace.

Agreed. It shows that we should have promoted Magner when Grimes was hurt.

we can still win it with another 12 goal last quarter!

It's hard watching is at the moment. I'm an optimistic but I am struggling

Think Neeld will be "Gawn" by seasons end.

Never, ever have left games early, including games like the Essendon one - until now. They are a complete and utter disgrace, no amount of sackings will change it. They've just about lost me

I think Neeld will be "Gawn" by games end at this rate.

Col Sylvia showing some fight apparently. Just not of a terribly productive sort. How many weeks do you think?

3, cheap shot typical of a losing side

How many weeks for Sylvia?

Forever after that pissweak effort. Sums up his career.

losing Sylvia is going to hurt us!

The sad thing is, I am not surprised.

Another demons record, the first established team to get overtaken by an expansion club. You would laugh it wasn't so pathetic.

More than likely now.

But this present board appointed him and allowed a 2nd dip/input into the selection process after the first failed input/advice (Bailey) by one Mr G Lyon. IMO they are equally (or potentially even more) culpable than the coach right now having made the same mistake of allowing an outside adviser to suggest and then accept another untried coach.

Gee, we're in trouble when we hear this.

They are missing the easiest shots.

He is supposed to be a leader of the club, needs to pull his head in and stop being a sook, crap like this is half our problem.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
