GAMEDAY - Round 6

Featured Replies

I have no idea why I keep doing this to myself.

I'm going to spend the day with my best friends who are Carlton supporters, sitting with the Carlton members. I'm actually terrified of what is going to happen today.

At least the winner is shouting drinks.

I'm really excited to see how we go, we have bought in a few players in good form, a good four quarter effort would be fantastic!

No confidence but that has been most games. We have a real honest team in today, workmen like

go dees , have a red hot go ,

Well fortunately im still trying to shake off a cold/flu since getting back and wont make the trek today..Im all trekked out ^_^

WJ..confident ....of ???

Just being realistic we have a snowflake's chance in hell.. All rugged up at home with the remote :)

just try to put a decent fair dinkum effort in Dees.....if youre capable

please universe, please give us something to smile about

please

we cant handle much more pain

come on Demons, its time to turn this ship around.

I'm excited to see what Jake Spencer can do. It's always a long time between games for him, but every time I see him he's about twice as good as he was the last time he played. Unfortunately he's starting from such a low base that by the time he's any good, I'll be dead.

Anyone feeling confident?

I'm buying it!!

I reckon Spencer will Dominate the ruck, Jones, Sylvia etc will really lift with the 1st ball use, Howe & Gawn will be unstoppable up forward and we'll win!!

Woohoo!

Hang on, someone's at the front door, ....it's some guys in white coats

This just in...apparently Frawley's had a shave. We're certainties now!

I have been watching footy flashbacks of 2000 QF and have built up so much belief and confidence for today's game now.

Wow this could hurt later

Caught up with a mate who is a blues supporter yesterday. He said what I'm sure we have all heard "as long as you guys have a crack and put in for 4 quarters" I'm so god damn sick of hearing that. It's not junior fricken footy it's the bloody AFL. I want to WIN games. Effort is a minimum standard at this level. Leave the "just have a go" attitude to me in the bedroom with my wife.

I'm confident of losing by less that Brisbane are getting pummeled

At least you're giving her some encouragement...

Let's not forget about Brock McLean. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this our first game against the Blues since his infamous On the Couch interview that put our entire club in the shite?

Less than 40 points is a win today and anything over 70 and Neeld's back under pressure, which is a good thing.

We lost to brisbane, and neeld said they were a good side...

i fear an old fashiond drubbing hope im wrong Come On DEES!!!

im excited about being able to turn off the swans v lions game and not have to listen to Paul Roos and his bloody biased commentry!!

Is he the most biased commentator in the game ATM?

Eddie McGuire when Collingwood is playing.

I have a workmate who thinks that Brisbane will make top 4.

I really want them to get taken to the cleaners every week

My signatures moves got old and I held onto them for too long. So I tried to "rebuild" my effort about 7 years ago. It didn't work out so i'm rebuilding again and after my efforts she is shattered but I try to explain to her that my moves our very young and haven't got much experience compared to others. She is getting real sick of hearing those excuses.

No way! Jets, Goodsey, Teddy, Mummy and the bunch are just so good that he's trying to give them their due credit.

Maybe you need a (new) coach.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
