GAMEDAY - ROUND 5

If Trengove wasn't pick two he would be delisted at the end of the season. Clearly he has shown nothing in four years that shows he is better than a good VFL player. Making him captain as a marketing ploy must be the worst decision in the 150 history of the club.

Letting James McDonald go and firing Norm Smith were worse decisions.

Now where are those who thought Mitch wouldn't be a big loss......

the starting backline today was the bigger problem... it sapped the players belief.

* I don't think Clark will be back for weeks I suspect

anyone who won't have a Dip has to go Out !!!

nice goal from pederson, but surely if dawes and clark are both fit one day he isnt anywhere getting a game

Seriously. We are just woeful. Absolutely woeful.

It's embarrassing. Whoever organized our midfield should be shot. Seriously it's not even VFL standard. Forget being poor, we are always on the wrong side.

Mark Neeld has to be accountable for bringing in absolute spuds like Pederson and Rodan and getting rid of players like Moloney without replacing their role in the team. It's irresponsible.

Have to agree Jaded we are the worst side in the comp, GWS were very unlucky, it appears that our players may be good at running 3k time trials but haven't got a clue how to play football. When I see Jamar palm the ball to the left and all our mids are on the right I just wonder, why?

Carlton will smash us next week 100+ loss coming ip

Betts, Yarran and Garlett are all watching this together and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and laughing and then falling over from laughing so hard.

Trengove is not in our best 22 for mine.

Hes had 6 tackles which I'd say is doping something. You should open your eyes when you watch/

Freudian slip?

Why do the boys walk around with smiles on their faces and having a laugh with opposition players after losses!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Rodan and Pederson have secured their positions in the side next week by getting a goal each in junk time.

Seriously, we couldn't do any worse by dropping both of them and playing kids like Taggart or Kent.

i hope new CEO Peter Jackson starts headhunting a great coach as soon as he starts

if the MFC arent already making into inquiries into John Worsfold then we may as well fold

Okay Neeld apologists. Start your engines. It's show time.

Oh wait, we're in a development phase aren't we? I know that because Neeld mentioned it for the 5672nd time in the pre-match interview, without being prompted. I'll go back to being content with barely managing to beat GWS. That's where we're at now. Mark told me so.

Because it doesn't hurt enough.

There's a guy playing for Brisbane who's had 34 touches and 10 clearances, apparently he was a free agent last year... Wonder why we didn't go after him?

He didn't want to come to the club.

Does development mean forget how to play football and let the opposition gather possessions at will?

Good to at least see JW have a big fly when he went forward. Jamar is too predictable in the ruck and too gentle with taps. should thump it clear occasionally just to keep the other side guessing.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
