When you call for heads it's a good thing but when we do it it's bad?

You're a joke, and not even a funny one.

When there's proof, like say a win/loss record or percentage then I think it's fair.

When it's unsubstantiated it's rubbish.

Use your brain.

3 losses this year, 18 last year, and a lost looking team. Yeah we should keep him, 107 points is fine as an average losing margin...

25 games for 4 wins is enough of a full story for me.

You may still think he'll "come good", but I've seen enough now.

We really have the weakest type of supporters.

I'm reading these stats you keep repeating in multiple threads now, Stuie. Your starting to sound a lot like Range Rover.

Some might argue the weakest supporters want to change the coach almost as often as changing their knickers, but want to hang on to sooking players with potential who don't believe in doing the hard work required.

Surely you can see the hypocrisy- you telling others to 'stand by your club' (I'm not doing that weird punctuation thing you've got going on) in a thread about a man who has been president during a time when some absolutely horrible decisions have been made on behalf of our club, while demanding the resignation of a man who has coached (until this point unsuccessfully) the team for just over a season?

My question to you would be: Why Neeld and not McLardy?

Clearly there are people who have to be held to account for all of the current situations at MFC - it's not a witch hunt - we need facts and then actions based on facts. We need to fix the problems and not be obsessed with blame - just get on with it quickly before it gets worse!

Do you think this is just about today? Do you really think that? Did you think - like the MFC admin did - that Schwab's head was going to make up for every other piece of inept management this club has suffered through? How many more coaches? How many more re-builds? How many more broken promises and lies will it take you to wake up and realise that the fish has rotted from the head down?

I'm only saying not McLardy YET. I'm going to wait for a full factual story, not some unfounded claims. Neeld doesn't get the same luxury as we see his evidence weekly.

What a rubbish rambling post. Has nothing to do with what we were talking about, you just want to talk unrelated absolutes as to fire up the lynch mob more.

The only thing missing from your "fish rots at the head" rant is the old "accepting mediocrity" cliche.

Stop getting sucked in, take a breath, have a bex and a lie down, and wait for the facts.

Then we'll deal with it.

These are the things that have gone to poo that could have been influenced by the board

  • Tanking coming up in the manner in which it did; this happened because we had the wrong mix of people in our footy department
  • 186
  • Sacking Dean Bailey over the phone
  • EnergyWatch
  • Sacking Cam Schwab, then extending his contract for another 3 years(!), then sacking him for some fluff reason (right course of action, but years too late and for the wrong reasons).
  • Hiring Mark Neeld on the say-so of Garry Lyon, on the say-so of Mick Malthouse
  • This latest epic Dank disaster
I excuse them for the Jurrah and racism disasters. The rest happened under their direct line of influence. So what that they're not the ones pulling on the jumper or coaching the side or whatever? They're the highest level of management at the club. They are charged with making sure the right people are in the right senior management position. Hardly a thing has gone right under their watch, I can't understand why you can't see that they are responsible. They are the the highest level of management at the club - they must take responsibility!

The thought of this group being the group charged with getting us out of this endless marsh of faeces terrifies me.

Anyone with an understanding of modern pro sports understands that the Admin side of the club do much more than "balance the books" - they set the culture and leadership of the entire club.

There have been an awful lot of mistakes made by both the MFC, both on and off the field.

However, that is not evidence that they have done anything wrong in this particular case. To claim that previous mistakes are proof that MFC was involved with Dank in illegal/inappropriate activities is rather poor reasoning. Let's wait to see how this plays out.

But if we are found to be guilty/negligent in this case, God help us.

If we are talking about the facts around tonight's ABC 7.30 Report, then yes, we need to settle down and get the facts first.

But if we are talking about DMs time as president and acting president when Jim was too sick, then the Club's performance and decision making was, overall, far from satisfactory. Don is at the top of that.

We really have the weakest type of supporters.

Screw you Stuie

I've been a paid up member for 13 years in a row, and I go every week without fail.

You wanna call me weak? well I wanna call you a moron. Fair?

If it's weak to demand our club not be so miserably represented on and off the field, than fine, I'm weak.

Weak supporters consistently turn on their own when the pressure is on rather than unite and fight.

Sound familiar?

I would think that:

the text messages from today (unless fake, which is unlikely) against the club's formal position on Dank

+ McLardy's strong rhetoric regarding our 'tanking' and ultimate, um, bending over to Vlad in the end on the issue

+ the Bailey/Schwab debacle (Don obviously chose a side here) and the continuing fallout some 18 months later

may constitute some sort of evidence.

Talking about evidence in this matter which is seeing SO many lighting their torches and grabbing their pitch forks.

Geez I hate the bombers, but it's interesting to see the difference in the supporters reactions.

I didn't read it as being about the 7.30 Report as such, but about his performance during the presidency.

That's the way the thread started. You are too untrusting. Sleep with a gun under your pillow Stuie?

Yes, cos Neeld has really turned us around this year.... and bent us over, and pulled our dacks down

Again, you've got NFI. Not even worth trying to explain because people like you just don't get it. Keep up your spamming every thread though if you think its gonna make a difference (hint: it won't). You're like the preacher yelling and banging on the pulpit to compensate for the complete hollowness of his words.

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w
