But you are infering that this situation has only just started.

It has been in the shadows for years.

Last sunday was the rising of the members finally.

Your wasting your time , the guys a troll, he doesnt follow the MFC, he doesnt believe in action for the sake of action, lets just slide through another crappy season WYL and win 3 games,if we continue on Jens path the doors will be shut by 2016.

i don't care if he gets it mj, i just want people at HQ to read all the input on here. They will be watching it closely. If not they are more foolish than i thought.

Why should i be made to feel impatient when we are served up the same flaky matchday performance for at least part of every decade i have supported this club.

It's always "Have Patience"

Hawthorn have won 10 flags since i started following Melbourne & are in the hunt for the 11th.

Not only is it the 7.5 wins out of 64 that makes my blood cringe.

It's the lack of fight, lack of 4 quarter efforts and lack of close, hard-fought losses that gets to me.

We'll say 15 points and under is a close game - close enough that a couple of goals would've made the difference.

Here are our losses to Vic (all) teams by 15 points and under.

2008 - 0 (0) [2 of our 3 wins under 15]

2009 - 2 (3) [2 of our 4 wins under 15]

2010 - 3 (4) [2 of our 8 wins under 15]

2011 - 1 (2) [1 of our 8 wins under 15]

2012 - 0 (0) [1 of our 4 wins under 15]

Out of 64 games against Victorian teams under Bailey/Neeld - we have got within 15 points of our opposition 14 times! Disgusting.

oh my God 45 that is bad reading. These stats need to get out.

Teams are just lining up to Tee off on us.

We have all become numb to it...till now.

Thanks

It gets worse when you consider that we won four games in 2007 [the year we allegedly tanked] and only a solitary game last year [when we didn't tank]!

Just one thing - we didn't tank and no-one thinks we did in 2007.

I cannot believe I am telling you this for the second time CBDees - we played Carlton in what was then known as the Kreuzer Cup and we were largely laughed at by the football public by letting a PP after the second round slip through our fingers. And then even more so when our ineptitude the next year meant that Nick Naitanui would also be Demon if we had lost that game against Carlton.

(However, this could all be blamed on the Bulldogs who somehow allowed us to beat them in late 2007 when Riley was Caretaker)

Anyway, there is a little bit of recent history. Strange day it was in 2007. Akin to going down to your local park and feeding pidgeons, and watching TJ run around untagged for the first time since 1998.

The rising up of the members on Saturday will be seen as minor to what's on the horizon, WYL. The booing and verbal sprays was merely the first salvo.

Wait for the placards calling for Schwab and McLardy's heads in the weeks and months ahead. The empty stadiums.

People are fed up. Enough's enough.

Nor did we in 2009. Goal after the siren. If McMahon misses there's no tanking BS from the AFL or talk. Nothing. I know many of you would have seen this many times before and even been there, but feel free to watch it again folks.

There's even some question mark over whether the siren went before McMahon even took the mark. Apparently the umps couldn't hear the siren, even though the commentators suggest it may have gone as the ball was travelling through the air to McMahon.

This is one of the main reasons why McLardy & CS & Co. MUST go IMO. They failed to defend our club's honor in one of its greatest hours of need. I believe Jimmy would be ashamed if he were still with us.

Shame on you for rolling over McLardy. And the same goes for you Mr Schwab. I'd be happy to tell this to your faces. Weak as [censored] the both of you.

Well said Rusty on the Rollover verdict. That was the day these guys lost me.

It will disgust me for many years i am sure.

Their words and actions can no longer be trusted with a refusal to speak about it afterwards.

Says it all really

The weasel words from McLardy after it was absolutely galling.

A 500 grand fine for not tanking.

What football club worth its salt cops that?

Don't think this has to come from the coach, he's only been there a year and the ship was already in a sorry state before he took the helm, something should be coming from the board or administration. Would genuinely like to know what's gone so horribly wrong.

He chose to come. He offered a solution. He chose to go in a different direction. He is responsible for its progress. There are no excuses. He gets the glory or the .................

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
