Jack Viney after game in rooms

We will now see what this playing group is made of in the next couple of weeks, if they lay down and give in or pull their socks up and take it up to the opposition. I would hope a lot of these players would have had a long hard look at themselves and got down to recovery and training to put in the extra yards, to look at the criticisms as a guide to what then now need to do. Last thing in the world I want to see is melbourne players thinking they have to run out and start biffing Bomber players next week and giving up free kicks and getting reported instead of out playing them on the ground. I really doubt there is much chance we will win next week, but i would like to seem the 22 Melbourne players put in and play a decent, hard competitive brand of football, and if we do loose, then hopefully it will not be by much.

He walked in with Hogan.. I wonder what must be going through his head at the moment. I hope he is not thinking of going back to WA already.

He might need a Melbourne girlfriend to keep him here....*cough*

It is very difficult to pull up your socks if you don't have any on Deecisive.

The painful fact is we have about 8 AFL standard players.

As far as I'm concerned, pay Jack and Jesse whatever they want, they are our future.

Obviously the current lot aren't capable of leadership, getting their hands dirty.

Neeld overrated how pathetic these lads are when he drafted Dawes thinking it will help.

I know hindsight is a wonderful thing, but maybe he would've been better off using that pick on Ben Kennedy

and taking Wines ahead of Toumpas - as classy as Toumpas is, he is a waste at this club.

We need go-getters.

This list is in for yet another massive shake up at years end.

And whoever decided to recruit Tom Gillies should be sacked on the spot.

Im 12 can's down and could still move quicker than that spud.

Im kinda blown away that its down to him to not only perform but also motivate the side as an 18 year old. I know of at least one listed player who told a friend he thought jack was full of himself. that player should turn around and have a look at what Jack Viney brings to the table and emulate 30% of it.

NSC, please who is this player? I understand if you don't mention their name but it's players like this that must go. Their attitude and any bitchy attitude will spread like poison.

As for the AFL video posted, what's with Rory Taggert smiling as he walks in? Does he think he'll get a game vs. Essendon?

I love the fact that Viney has the balls to step up and say something. What concerns me is if we keep putting up performances like this then guys like Viney/Hogan are not going to want to sign new contracts (Hogan particularly).

We have serious issues and need quick smart reactions.

I am amazed at Viney's maturity in this situation. For a first gamer to have an impact on and off the field like that is simply stunning. Future captain material without a doubt and also my pick for rising star.

Backed him and Ollie for an absolute stack.

Got Viney at $11's and Ollie at $16

I'm gonna enjoy the battles those two are going to have over the next decade.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs West Coast

Many warned that this was a danger game and the Demons were totally outclassed all game by a young Eagles team at Optus Stadium in Perth as they were defeated by 35 points.

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
