A quote from Sutherland in the ABC article, ""Adrian set up the AFL integrity unit and that unit is recognised as a gold standard in Australian sport," he said."

Bugger, I've just aspirated again!

He's a lawyer and has experience at what until probably the last year or two was regarded as the most professional sporting league in Australia. Based on that CV he's probably not a bad candidate.

He's left the AFL in time for all the allegations into PED, matchfixing and tanking to blow up. Quite possibly he was pushing for a more in depth review whilst the more pragmatic Demetriou and McGlaughlin were going in a different direction.

Clearly pushing for more depth in review. Because he virtually sat on the information provided by Gerard Healy in relation to the Essendon drug scandal for up to 12 months.

I wonder if CA were aware of that...........

He needs about 5 years in Pakistan to get him up to speed for the job.

Perhaps he'll headhunt Clothesline and Saddam.

Can you imagine a job for integrity in India?!

Bookies there would be betting how long he will last.

AA's Honest, capitol H.

He tried to unpick a hornets nest at the AFL & got weaved into a corner.

Its not AA who is the poison but the intricate spider web of deception thats been allowed to grow, & grow, & grow.

Lets not be blinded by the fallout, & not be able to see the truth.

This Web has been Spun from decades of unbalanced decision making & coverups.

That would be the "fool's golds standard".

They can look forward to their boot studders being outed for $2 bets, with lots of hoopla.

If anyone is looking for a new career.

Apply for an Integrity officer.

There will be oo's of them going around, based on the amount of times I have heard that word.

This stinks. The whole AFL stinks. What about his relationship with the media, namely Caroline Wilson. Is that full of integrity?

So the old firms back in business, a few lovely little Age spin articles to clean up the mess, a few re-adjustments of egos and away we go.

What these people need to understand is that they are meant to be custodians of the game, they are meant to take care of it and pass it on to the next generation in good shape. Demetriou, Anderson and Wilson have shown themselves to be nothing more than self-serving in their actions of late. Self serving. They have poor morals and little integrity.

Our game needs help quick.

GWS has created a big sink hole in the fabric of the game but those at the top have ropes, nets and all sorts of support for that moral vaccuum and they've got a dunny brush and are trying their hardest to push one of the oldest founding clubs down the drain! Then they'll write their own history to say what a great job they've done.

It stinks, it stinks, they stink.

Maybe we can become the Werribee Demons. They might like us then. Build effigies to them out of the mud they let us play in.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
