Deeflog, jcb and eth still not logged in.

Cutoff is tomorrow, I'll make a bit of an allowance for JCB because I know he's trying to log in.

But I have to make a call on Eth/Deeflog tomorrow so unless I hear something I'll be giving positions over to the next couple in line.

Thanks all for your goodwill but I will kick butt when or if I can play. OMR- if indeed Icannot get through in a week, I will ask your kind help

Hard part is done JCB.

Now select your keepers:

Under the 'preseason' draft tab, here is an option called 'nominate keepers'.

From here you can see your team from last year.

Pick any two you like, plus any two rookies (born in 1991 or later)

Hey guys, my new little Demon (goes by Oliver) was born on Thursday (valentines day!). Seriously tired! Obviously I'm not really keeping up with the plan for drafts etc at present - will make do with whatever the general consensus is - will do my preselection order if unable to make draft time

Ps. Looking for ideas on who to get to sign his first little Demon jumper - leaning towards the 'Jacks' Grimey, Trenners and Watts give the lad someone to follow as they grow

Congrats jako13. Don't forget the bloke you have for your avatar.

Good work JCB on your keepers. That's the spirit.

We will have to be explained on how to pick our players before draft time.

Are we going with 14 coaches or are we going to allow new ones, if so, how do they pick their keepers?

Stinga and 7-up make the cut.

League ID 321216 Password DNALNOMED

Log into the site and join the league.

I will distribute your keeper teams (from last year's teams) when I get a chance.

Apologies for not providing more detail, work is a pain at the moment.

ATTENTION STINGA and 7UP

I have PMd you but no response.

Log in as soon as you can, once we're settled we can push on with everything else. If you are no longer interested please let me know. If I don't hear anything by wednesday I will have to bypass you and move to the next interested person.

Stinga/7up.

After you log in I will have to assign you each a team from last year. All current coaches are able to carry over 4 players from last year (keepers), and as you don't have a team from last year I will give you one of the outgoing ones.

The trick is, which team do I give you.

There are 4 teams to choose from (we've reduced the league from 18 to 16), and they vary somewhat in their qualty. For example one has Gary Ablett. The problem here is that I think i'm in line for pick 1 (or thereabouts). So I could be a dog here and just give you a different team, thereby leaving Gary to don the Jackattack colours.

I think the only fair thing would be that I randomise it. You pick a number from 1 to 4, and you get the team I assign to that number. the teams will be in no particular order. As a check I will PM the team names and numbers to an existing coach (DL7) whom I believe can be trusted by everyone else here enough that there will be no claims of embezlement.

So, all you have to do is:

1 log in to the site

2 pick a number from 1 to 4

3 After I assign your team, go to the site and nominate your keepers.

Then we're ready to draft.

PS I wouldn't worry too much there is some very good players in all 4 of those teams.

Also when you eventually pick your players:

2 of them are unrestricted keepers.

The other 2 must be 'rookie keepers'. These are players whose birthday is in 1991 or later.

Sounds good JA, FWIW, the way you've run it dont feel like we'd ever think you'd cheat the system, only the other 14 dogs in the league are capable of that. :P Edited by Demon Land 7

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
