Do you want to know something? I still read Fairfax newspapers as it isn't a contest between it and News Limited when it comes to hard news. The Hun these days looks something akin to New Idea from 20 years ago these days. God knows what happened to New Idea.

I am getting a little browned off by the AFL news media in general with the contempt they treat Melbourne. Eddie McGuire, while not bosom buddies with him, is known to talk to Mick Gatto (who by the way, despite public perception, barracks for Collingwood). Are they wasting news ink on that? Not likely because they know that both Eddie and Mick would launch legal proceedings if they threw that crap around. They pick on us because they know we are an easy target. Therefore, I am relieved that the club is looking at legal action if it is charged with whatever the AFL might throw at us. This threat of legal action is one of the reasons why one Ms. Wilson seems to be going back to reporting 'the facts' as opposed to flinging a wheelbarrow load of mud at us, as she did in that 'Shock and Awful' piece which turned me on her for the life of this story.

I will say though, Col does tend to find himself in these situations. And he and Beamer look like friggin' hillbillies in that pic.

Let's keep it simple and blame Jack Watts for this.

Who do you think took the photo?

Watts is a well known gangster from the infamous Brighton gang.

All the players involved should be crucified for going to the Hard Rock.

The drugs and strippers are much better down the road.

Does anyone know the name of the former Melbourne player, now with another AFL club, who allegedly went to an alleged gangster's funeral?

You've posted here by mistake.

You need to go the Who Am I Quiz thread.

Be careful what you say about Mick Gatto-not sure he want it to be public knowledge that he hangs with low-life scumbags like Fast Eddie and barracks for the Filth . He sponsors Carlscum , probably helps them Crane in the cash so they can make "money angels" at training.

I have heard him say that he barracks for Collingwood. I know the Moran family were all Carlton (Leo Brooks, Judy's dad, was the doorman at Carlton for years).

Do Elite Cranes sponsor Carlton? Never heard this before.

I'm more concerned that Tappy's hangin' out with Moloney and Sylvia.

If he starts dressing like a bumpkin as well then we are in real trouble.

I heard he is at the Carlscum games every week but hey ,Mick Gatto can barrack for whoever he likes .I wish he was a Demons fan .We could get him to "negotiate" with "The Age" and Vlad for us .

and thats just the entre .

We can get loads more material out of this.

If Brynne Edelstien can make a TV show out of teeth ,[censored] ,hair and tears

then we've got a mini series on our hands .

"Mad Cyril" is the Grandad of all modern Gangsters. These modern pillows haven't got a clue.

Sounds like a Grandads name.

Did he bore his enemies to a slow death with stories about the docks?

This thread is just an excuse for me to jack up my post-count without contributing anything. I've got a lot of work to do if I want to catch WYL.

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence.
